Ryvaken Lucius Tadrya chapter 12 . 5/7
Ironically Schrodinger was demonstrating how our understanding of quantum physics is necessarily incomplete because it would dictate the contradiction of a cat being alive and dead simultaneously; clearly impossible.

avearia chapter 51 . 3/31/2019
It's always a delight to read from Mr Lancer's POV. The stumble on Tucker's name was a nice touch; it shows that the patterns and the traditions aren't just ingrained in Tucker and Danny, but in the people around them as well.

And Lancer's care for his students' futures is a sentiment that anyone who struggled appreciates, whether they succeed or fail in their endeavors, it's the support that counts.
avearia chapter 50 . 3/31/2019
Oh, this was a wonderful look at Tucker and Danny's friendship! :D
I hadn't considered that since their last names are so close that they would naturally be next to each other in seating and graduations and anything else that required alphabetical order. That's a big deal in High School, can't believe I overlooked that. And it certainly underscores Danny's absence if Tucker's used to having him there only for that suddenly not to be the case...

And it ended wonderfully, with Danny still showing full support of both his friends despite that most people would be deeply jealous. And Tucker still thinks very highly of Danny despite the circumstances too, a nod that in his position, Tucker would've just dropped out instead of striving to be better. They're still good friends on both sides of the friendship, and that last line really drives the nail home.
avearia chapter 49 . 3/31/2019
This show is always chock full of irony, and this plays pretty well off of that. I like how you note that the Fenton parents aren't always the most careful in settings where they don't think they need to be (the kitchen for one) adding a bit of eye-rolling disbelief to Danny's situation, when he knows the 'lesson' they're trying to teach very, very well.

But, given what the Fentons work with in their lab, and given the close proximity of these unknown chemicals to their living spaces, if the Fentons DIDN'T give this lecture, they would be remiss. So the outcome is that they're doing the right thing, but as always, they're just not paying as much attention as they should...
avearia chapter 48 . 3/31/2019
This one kinda has shades of the previous one, only with the overheard conversation probably being ~more~ serious than Maddie's going to assume from the blanks she can fill in.

Also the line and setup itself makes for a good hook for the beginning of a story. I'm kinda inspired, now.
avearia chapter 47 . 3/31/2019
lol! I figured it was either cars or computers, given that this was TUCKER we were talking about. Nice that they both come with their own built-in innuendo.
avearia chapter 46 . 3/31/2019
And we see the setup of the Puppet King. I'm glad at least some of them acknowledged that Tucker might not be as easy of a target as logic might claim, and that he's got some hidden skills. Tucker did after all pull out a rally just as fast and just as large as Sam did in MM, he's the only one of the trio that's actually run for an "office" of sorts, and he's always been the one who understands human nature and appealing to others, better than his friends.

Of course, that's probably not enough to prepare a 16 year old kid for the large and multi-faceted task of running a city, like they say. But Tucker has plenty of potential even if the show never explored it...
avearia chapter 45 . 3/31/2019
I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about internal politics, so I'm mostly watching these things play out and taking them at their word. Of course, Given the plot of PP, I know where you're going with this and making an internal, somewhat suspect reason for electing Tucker as the mayor adds an interesting level of depth to the story, more than just him winning the popular vote just because he was the face of Operation Spirit or whatever.

Isn't Pinkerton technically canon? I feel like I've heard that name before as Vlad/Tucker's VP or something. Balding, with a hooked nose? Gray suit? Am I remembering something that's real or did I just conjure this mental image out of thin air?
avearia chapter 44 . 3/31/2019
Ooh, I like the last line and how it mirrors Dan's mocking threat, "I'm inevitable." I'm surprised that Dan would be born at all, given the peaceful death, but just showing that peaceful death shows that there was no way to avoid Dan's creation.

I wonder how the family in his room at that moment would've reacted, though. I know it's not the point of the drabble, but it is a lingering curiosity...
avearia chapter 43 . 3/31/2019
Danny does get disproportionately kicked in the arse for breaking the rules. The fate of being a cartoon character role model for kids, I suppose. Oh no! Danny's becoming aware of the fourth wall! /kidding

I kinda expected this to end on whatever small rule Danny refuses to break - just to underscore how fragile of a line he feels like he needs to walk. Like, "Sorry guys, can't jaywalk or the nasty burger might blow up or something." Sort of a humor-angst mix to underscore just how surreal Danny's worldview has to be in a universe where these things happen to him. But, then I got to the end and saw it was for angst day, so I understand why it didn't veer into that avenue.

PS, I love Tucker's quips here. The part about him declaring himself perfect and "I agree that's a bit of an overkill. Especially the part where I got killed." You write Tucker so well!
avearia chapter 42 . 3/31/2019
Ha! I like the fact we just came off of the President bit not too long ago and you bring him back into this for kind of a punchline.
avearia chapter 41 . 3/29/2019
Oh, and you confirmed the repeating thing of ghost folklore in this chapter! Called it!

This chapter had a more somber tone, as could be expected. You don't just talk about death lightly, not even if you're a halfa.

It was really sweet of Sam to offer to be there, and to try to understand without just clinging to her gut reaction of Danny helping the suicide ghost was a bad thing. It'll definitely be harder the next time around for the both of them, but easier too, in a way.
avearia chapter 40 . 3/29/2019
I was kinda curious at the abrupt change of tone despite this being marked 'Birthday pt 3'. Guess you showed me!
Deathday!

Honestly with all the folklore of ghosts appearing on the anniversary of their deaths, it's a headcanon that makes sense. I've seen it sometimes in other fanfics but I still love it when authors use real world tidbits to color their stories, it's great.
avearia chapter 39 . 3/29/2019
Ha! What a card.
I honestly don't know how Maddie would react to that. Probably oddly touched, with a little bit of concern how her baby boy got close enough to these malevolent entities to catch a signature.

Also, an aside: "You really shouldn't have" is such a classic line...
