Aww, poor Prim! I always wondered what would happen if Katniss didn't volunteer.

I noticed a few times where you didn't capitalize the characters' names, but that's minor and I'm being picky. Anyway, it seems very similar to what happened in the original, which is fine, but it would be interesting to see some differences.

I liked hearing Prim's thoughts. She is very in character, and I am sure this will be very interesting once the plot gets going! Good first chapter.

P.S. I like the title.
