Loved what you had so far I wish there was more

I really want to know who the ninja are that are causing all this trouble. Like the Hokage is supposed to be in charge of all the ninja but if they are causing trouble doesn't it mean that aren't working for the Hokage per say. And even then if they are ninja it shouldn't be hard for the Civilians and others who are witness to them and their actions to go to the Hokage directly about it.

Great premise, I loath OCs with a burning passion (often detract from the story), but was willing to give it a shot. Then naruto is kinda scetchy but maybe. Finally needs help? When you just stated that he gathered a bunch of info on his friends, when the Hokage should have been the first! Thus should have all the info he needs. The only reason to have him go to the others is for distraction help since he obviously didn’t need help planning or executing the vandalism of the monument.

I wouldnt mind helping, its not the first time i have helped someone with ideas so PM me if you still want to do it.

Okay, I understand you're trying to make this darker, and that's good... but Kakashi's beliefs still don't make sense. He's a genius jounin/ANBU who was Minato's remaining student, which means that: A) he would know about jinchuuriki (and likely that the Uzumaki are needed for Kyuubi); B) he would know that Kushina was married to Minato *and pregnant*; C) from what I've read/heard about Naruto, his behaviour tends to echo Kushina's.

And Sarutobi? How much of an *idiot* was he to tell Kakashi what he did about Naruto? Forget Minato's wish that Naruto be a hero to the people of Konoha, even forget Sarutobi's canon relationship with Naruto. Look at what Naruto *is*. Essentially, the jinchuuriki are living weapons. *Why* would the Hokage tell someone who might be willing to encourage Naruto's loyalty to Konoha anything that would prevent that from happening? With the amount of hatred that gets shown to Naruto in canon, it's astonishing that he remains loyal to Konoha. Here, while he seems to have Inoichi on his side, and possibly Iruka (and Shika and Kei)... given the behaviour of the rest of the shinobi toward him, it's not likely he'll remain loyal for all that long. Not with this being a darker (more realistic, yay!) setting than canon.

Sorry, but that bit just really grated on me. (Along with Shikaku's statements. Surely he knows the history of Konoha and the Kyuubi jinchuuriki before Naruto? His son is on Naruto's team. Why would he do anything to try to make Naruto *dislike* Shikamaru?)

Well, Konoha went to hell, didn't it. I do hope you continue this as I am now invested in the story, as different as it is, and would really like, no, I need, to see how the 'rebellion' ends as so many of the loyal ninja are dead or seriously injured. And so many of the rebels are still in play. I do want to commend you, though. This is rather well written and a concept that I haven't come across before. I look forward to the ending.

Really? Not only Kakashi is playing favorites, he is delusional enough to believe Sarutobi's cover story? You know, I suspect if Minato himself comes back from the death and tells him the truth that Naruto is his son, Kakashi will still deny everything.

I really liked this Naruto. Not only he wrestled the leadership from Sasuke, he actually managed to deal with Anko's test.

Shikaku was somewhat ooc. Not sure what to make of that.

You're making out Naruto to be all brawn and no brains. He's actually ignorant, not stupid. And he's pretty good at on the spot strategy and thinking outside the box. Of course, he's too impatient for long term planning, and Shikamaru usually takes time to process things and come up with a good strategy. He's never shown to think up ideas on the fly.

Soooo...this rebellion will end with Hokage's side lose? And I haven't see Shikamaru and Kai for awhile. I think we need to see their POV too, but still... i m tired with people die in every chapter.
