DJ chapter 1 . 7/23/2018 Wow! This is an amazing story and I don't know how I missed it so many times when I periodically read through the fanfics. One thing that seems to be canon in fanfic is that Illya gets seasick. I don't understand where that really came from. I think he is miserable in a lifeboat in one of the first season episodes, but in the "Yo-Ho-Ho and a Bottle of Rum Affair," he seems to be the consummate sailor. I'm glad to see in this story that Illya likes the sea. |
cdrDOBES chapter 1 . 3/12/2018 Absolutely LOVED this story. Please write more Man From Uncle Stories. Thank you! |
dpdp chapter 1 . 2/4/2018 Wonderful. Thank you for the exciting adventure. |
PACTNMMT chapter 1 . 10/1/2010 I just read your truly fantastic story! Written ten years ago, wow. I didn't even know ff was even around then. It is not lost on me (a coincidenceA?) that the story was dated (at the end for 9/19 - Mr. McCallum's birthday. Thanks for sharing your story! |
Anna-mathe chapter 1 . 11/6/2001 O_o I'm speechless. That was . . . . . . . . . o_O I'm still speechless. Euh . . . . that was really, really good! O_O |
Jeanny chapter 1 . 7/1/2001 I really enjoyed this story. I thought it captured the spirit of the show as I remembered it, if a bit more graphically. But the relationship between Napoleon and Illya was dead on. Thanks so much! |
YumYumPM chapter 1 . 6/27/2001 Curses on Sophie...all those wounds..Gypsies?...shame to litter the story with THRUSH, but guess they're a necessary evil. Lot's of good humor. The explosion in the stomach was a nice touch. Glad they finally made it back. hmmm, by the way, where did Illya learn to fly? |
Ldot chapter 1 . 4/3/2001 Terrific! I really enjoyed this fic. I especially appreciate the care you took in footnoting your references. Thanks for sharing this story. |
Elena Zovatto chapter 1 . 2/8/2001 I only vaguely remember the show from when I was a child. I rediscovered it in syndication a few years back. Between Solo and Kuryakin, I too prefer the Russian ;-) Excellent dialogue, good action, spot-on characterization and a meticulously constructed plot - an excellent read, and I hope to see more U.N.C.L.E. stories from this author. |
GM chapter 1 . 12/22/2000 Excellent characterizations, good relationships with the burgeoning team of Solo and Kuryakin. Globe-hopping action is good. A great set-up provides suspense. Should be rated R for graphic torture scenes. Hope to see more UNCLE stories from you. GM () |
Lay McDaniel chapter 1 . 10/4/2000 As a huge Man from UNCLE fan, and a huge Illya Kuryakin fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this. The descriptions were good, the part where they went inside the gypsy camp was good.. dang it, this is a good piece of work. One critisism however - the ending seemed to drag on too long - maybe some cutting of scenes would be better - for example the bit at the end where they're in a car chase / crash. But on the whole, great. Thank you for writing this. |
