This story is simply FANTASTIC! It's one of the best LOM/A2A combined fics I've read, and it makes me wish so much that Gene, Sam and Alex had been allowed to work together in the canon series. Your dialogue for them is so brilliant, are you sure you aren't one of M7A's scriptwriters under an assumed name? Your solution to the mystery is amazing, I'm totally hooked on the idea of Morgan being Gene's murderer, it would explain so much. I was crying throughout the last chapter, realising that Alex would be going home, but your ending is great - we know that Alex will return to Gene just as he needs her most, after Sam's disappearance. Love it love it love it!

... you just killed me, really :/ now im going to imagine she gets killed and everyones happy :3 ...except the ppl in 2008 but who cares? :P

Aww, what a great ending! I know you have split Gene and Alex up for now, but we all know that a bullet is going to come along and change that very soon :)

Well, it's a brave step to leave them separated at the end but it works. Poor ol' Gene though; Alex gets back to her life and he... doesn't. He's so brash and loud and yet strangely vulnerable in this fic that I wish he wasn't so lonely. Ah well, here's hoping they get the future they deserve eventually. Well done, Fen.

A very thoughtful and realistic ending to this story - always sad when Gene and Alex don't end up together but in this instance its quite fitting and your ending points the way to a glimmer of hope.

A great story and its been great to see LOM Gene and Alex together.

I thought that was a great ending. Fabulous writing, and the interactions between Gene and Sam were brilliant. And the twist of Morgan being the killer...

Another fantastic chapter and the pace really seems to have hotted up. Love the cliffhanger although I have a sneaky suspicion its not quite as obvious as the final line seems to suggest. Waiting with bated breath for the next chapter.

So he does know where he's come from? Could Alex be pregnant? Can't wait for more
