Rumbelle is a delicate ship that needs to be handled with care...and you've done an excellent work, dearie :)

...and of course Belle would be the one to initiate any contact between the two of them. SHe's the only one who can just pass through the walls he build around himself, just to see the real him.

This was a very cute one-shot! I loved it, and it made me more curious! What was Annabel French like in your version of Storybrooke, was Rumpelstiltskin NOT told she was dead back in fairytale land, or was he simply smarter in your version and didn't swallow the evil Queen's lies about her death? You should write more, you do a good job!

Great story, especially for a first timer! I find dialogue to be one of the hardest things to write, but you manage to make it seem effortless. Are you thinking of continuing this past being a one-shot? I would love to see more! Keep up the great work!

I really enjoyed it and it's sad that Mr. Gold has avoided Belle all this time just so that he doesn't corrupt her and to avoid her becoming a weakness even though we saw that him corrupting her would never have happened.

I love how you kept their dynamic in this one-shot: Belle being so full of confidence, moving around him and being completely as ease while he, on the other hand, is just flustered by her presence. I think that's what makes them such a wonderful couple. And once again, I love Gold's lines about want and need, it still just breaks my heart whenever I read that section.
