Usually for stories more than 70,000 words I start to get bored and need to take a break by reading something else before I can get back into it. However, your story kept my attention the whole time and I read it all in less than three days. You're a great writer and I love all of your Merlin stories! .

Loved it. Dunno why you hate it so mich (unless youre joking) but i thought it was great.

I think you shouldn't be so negative about your story; as far as things go it's decent. There were things which could be improved upon, and words that were used which didn't make sense. It did seem that the story went from one crisis to the next but overall, the story is good.

It's different - I've certainly not read anything like it and with a little bit of reworking it would be great - finding someone to retroactively beta it, would definitely help to improve things.

Your characterisation of Gwaine, though, was not ideal. He came off sounding over-the-top ridiculous. Reminded me a bit of Michaelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but not in a good way. Gwaine's a joker, yes, but he has his serious moments.

In terms of the relationship, I'm more of a MerlinxArthur shipper, but I didn't mind that this stuck to canon at all and I liked that the story was the focus, whereas some stories can become so mired in the interpersonal dramas.

I say if you want to improve this even slightly, then remove the negative author notes - it sort of sounds like you're fishing and it's clearly an over-exaggeration. You've done well, you've clearly put a lot of effort into this story, so be proud of your achievement, even if there are things you'd like to improve.

Funny. Your Author's Notes which warn us readers AWAY from your story always entices me to go ahead and read!

I have no idea what you keep talking about in your a/n's because that's one of the best merlin fanfic I've ever read! It had just the right amount of action, comedy, angst and bromance and I loved every moment of it! The only thing that could have made me happier was if you managed to squeeze in a reveal for poor merlin. But than again, him doing all the saving without Arthur knowing is kind of what the show was all a out so can't really complain...

I think you should move on to something new, this is fine as is and you can't let those other plots be neglected!
For what it's worth, I enjoyed this story. It's not my favorite of yours, but that doesn't mean it isn't any good.

I love how you put the "Merlin" at the end of this chapter. It looks really cool. As to seeing a rewritten version of this, I certainly would not mind. The plot behind this was an excellent idea. I think the main problem was that you veered to far off with your OCs and from, perhaps, what the main characters would normally do in certain situations.

Otherwise, I think you wrote quite well, and I would enjoys seeing more from you! Thanks for your story! .
