This story is just wonderful and a real hidden gem. I loved the macabre nature of following the pilgrims and knowing what was in store for them-such detail in their backstories too! Adso is adorable and complex and his tie in to Tanya and introduction of vegetarianism to her was brilliant. As was the plague as a vehicle for a vampire realizing they could subsist on animals. Great story!

Well, that was a different way to go, after having to go through all that confession. To think that Aro heard all those thoughts and then used them against her!

That is the neatest idea, to have Carlisle and Adso meet and have a nice long visit. The conversation would be fascinating, to say the least! I hope you do it some day!

I am happy that Adso and Alina are getting their forever together! No surprise she asked to become like him, and no surprise he asked God's help to do it safely! I thoroughly enjoyed this story, as I do all your stories!

This escape from Volterra is going much, much better than I feared it might! Poor Adso, he thinks all is lost, now that Alina has witnessed him feeding and killing and disposing of Ruby. He's so sure she will be afraid and disgusted. I hope that won't be the case!

I believe Alina is accepting of Adso's explanation and promise to no longer drink from humans. The offering of her horse was a clue for me that she will stay with him.
