Loved this...I hope there's a sequel somewhere

This was so good and I am so in love with your version of Katniss and Peeta, and I am glad that Katniss was the one who mostly "fixed" their relationship. I was so fascinatedin this story and the passion between these two. Their journey was terrifying yet they manage to get through it. I love all the characters especially Hazelle since it was really unsual to see her in everlark fanfics, and I even love your version of Darius. He was sweet and kind and gentleman that I was afraid that Katniss might have agree to marry him. Thank god you had a better plan. Anyway, thank you so much for writing this amazing fanfic. And thank you for adding Gale at the end lmao

This story felt brutal to read at times, but I couldn't stop reading. I am wondering to what extent Snow had been watching Peeta and Katniss at the orphanage before Snow approached Peeta with the offer to either be a companion or die. I am also wondering what age Katniss and Peeta were for the present time. The only reference I could pinpoint was the fact that Peeta was 15 when he became a companion and that it had been years...so are we talking 5, 10, 15 years? Anyways loved the ending.

I wish you have an idea of how beautiful this story is. The ending helped me regain my faith in humanity. Thank you.

the conversation with darius made me cry-great writing

A lot to take in, but a really good start to your story.

This is for the whole piece... Great storytelling, maybe write a little *slower* to clean up some of the grammar/vocab slips... But what I was expecting honestly was a plot line that has everything happening up to their first consummation, then Peeta brokers her marriage to Darius and freezes her out... She marries Darius who then decides a few months later (after they've both been miserable for a while) to surprise her for her birthday / their anniversary / reaping day ( you pick the occasion) by hiring Companion Mellark for a special treat. How awful, how blissful, how terrible... Hm?

That was amazing! You wrote it beautifully and I could feel every characters' emotions. The ending was beautiful and I'm so sad to have finished it! It was brilliant, I'm so glad I stumbled upon it! There isn't a single thing I would change or criticize

I really, really love this story. You have made it so AU, that it could stand as an original fiction if you remove the Hunger Games references, a la 50 Shades of Grey. You would need to flesh out a little more, for example, what exactly is the purpose of a handmaiden being tied to a companion. Maybe a little more about the expectations, history, duties of handmaidens. I really like that the companions usually come from the nobility and are generally a respected part of society. I think fleshing out the history and strata of this society would also be intersting and add a lot.

Hunger Games removals:
lose the idea of "prep teams"; create your own world free of the Capitol and districts (e.g. Divergent's whole world is a futuristic, partially ruined Chicago); instead of the difference between Capitol born/district born, you might have someone born in a named central city, surrounded by various rural "counties" "burbs" etc.; of course, change the character/Peacekeeper names, although the personalities can remain the same; don't call it a rebellion... maybe an uprising...

Anyway, these are just a few thoughts. I think you could even get a trilogy out of this. The epilogue hints as a 2nd story. I NEVER, NEVER write this much in a review. That MUST mean I really, really enjoyed it. Well done...

I noticed a fair amount of errors, but your excellent storytelling certainly makes it easy to overlook. The ending wasn't quite what I had expected. However, I really liked it.
