I adore this story! I think you really captured both Madge and Gale's characters and I really admire that of you. It absolutely breaks my heart that you've kept it completely canon (because I secretly ship Gale and Madge together).

This was really good. Sad, but very well written.

um wow... I thought this was brilliant, horribly sad but utterly brilliant. I felt so bad for Madge at the end there nice job. I also thought you did a good job portraying Gale, he needed to be a bit of a jerk to make your story work but you didn't go over-board with the jerk-ness. I think you did a nice job of keeping everyone relatively in character

A believable story of how a romance (of sorts) could happen between Gale and Madge. Breaks my heart that you decided to keep it in canon, but I guess that's really SC's fault. One little con crit - after Gale is whipped he's taken to Katniss's house in Victor's Village.

Wow, this is really good. No obvious grammar or spelling errors, characters weren't OCC, and it was just a nice story in general.

I like how you characterized Madge. She knew what was going on with Gale, yet continued to pretend that he loved her. Their relationship was realistic, to put simply. Gale didn't love Madge but she was, in an odd sort of way, okay with that.

Another thing concerning the bombing of District 12, I thought that it got blasted as soon as the tributes escaped from the arena, not a few days after. I don't know if I'm wrong (don't have the book with me) or if this was changed to make it fit into the story better, but overall it didn't really detract from anything.

Wow. I mean- wow. Oh, God. This is such a good story and it's extremely depressing thinking they never patched it up. Brb, crying.

Well you may not know how you feel about it, but I freakin' loved it! I'm not a huge Gale fan, but the right writers can make me still enjoy a story with him as the main character and you did just that. I can completely picture him acting this way during the Games and being irrational in his actions without thinking he's hurting someone. Very well-written!
