J'aime bien l'inquiétude de Stefan et Alaric pour Damon d'habitude c'est souvent l'inverse. Continue comme ça en tout cas !

Beautiful fic. Loved how everybody cared for Damon. Having him talk to Rebekah was a brilliant idea.

this was a really good story. i like the stories of stefan and damon being brotherly and working together. i like the stories of all of them working together.

I don't know if they could pull it off on the show, but I really like how you have a kind moment with Stefan and Elena and Damon instead of just two of the three at a time. And, as a matter of fact, same goes with the whole gang- you never see them all together just having fun and it would be cool. So thanks for providing that. Heartwarming. Liked the Bonnie healing scenes a lot!

I really liked that you acknowledged here that Damon and Rebekah have similar wounded histories- it was extra cruel of him to exploit that. I maintain those actors didn't have enough chemistry to pull off the hate sex, though Ian did try his best.

I know I should be able to figure this out, but I just can't-what does that one mean?

I'm really enjoying this fic. I like that you honed in on all the psychological effects of this one show instead of glossing it over because there will be more mayhem next week. Loved the scene with Damon watching over the girls. I thought the Damon/Stefan scene was a little too straightforward. It is almost more fun with them when they dance around what they really mean. Hoping for some Delena :) I thought it was so sad in 03x18 that she didn't even go see Damon afterward to be like "Are you ok?" How sad- she went to check on Stefan, who ah-hem, did not get horribly tortured.

It's interesting too that Damon gets tortured like every other episode, but this is the episode where it really messes with him. Hope to see how you explore that later.

"Killed my closest living relative. Turned your sister. Won't tell you about the rest. Wasn't a stellar year." Now *that* is Damon. Unapologetic. He forgoes the social niceties, but he's real. Spot-on perfect.

Happy endings are tough in this universe, and I appreciate your efforts to make it work despite the bloody and brutal beginning. Very lovely and well done. I really did fully intend to stop reading some time ago. :-)

Damon really doesn't apologize. Like ever. :-) But I loved all the forgiveness going around. It was sweet without being too much. And the idea that forgiveness isn't earned or deserved, just given. So lovely. Lovely lovely.

Rebekah and Damon are so very much alike, and you've shown that really well. Both lost mothers too young, love blindly and recklessly until it consumes them, fiercely loyal, dangerously spontaneous and passionate, never chosen first or loved enough. I love that you let them have their moment of solidarity.

I really liked the sentiment, and I totally get why you went there. His dream of her saving him was both lovely and pathetically tragic. But this just seemed out of character, for both of them. She just had epic icecream with Stefan, and she turns around and offers up a wrist? She may love vampires, but she doesn't much care for the grisly reality. And I can't see Damon either crying or fessing up. He has a difficult time allowing people to hug him. It was all very sweet, just... Too much?

I do love that Elena and Damon didn't b/s each other. Damon has a tendency to tell the truth, whether people like it or not (especially not), and Elena tends to let her guard down more around him.

"Turkish towels, pickles, bad jokes." Damon shrugged. "Simple pleasures you can focus on when life is in chaos."

Damon in a nutshell. The hedonistic vampire. Love.

Bonnie's been on my nerves since S1 when she blamed Elena and Stefan for Gram's dying. Then she sold them out to the Counsel, caused the wreck that should've killed Caroline, made Damon heal her, and told Kat that he had. I loathe that no one ever talks about how, every third episode, she tries to kill everyone. That said, I appreciated her trying to make amends. Thank you for that.
