This was wonderful!

I've read this a million times, it's about time I sat down and actually wrote a review.
It's amazing, dear author, what you can do with 2k words. An entire lifetime bond described artfully, fluently, with that tinge of unreal that keeps the reader on their toes.
I love this little story, I can't find anything that could be improved: well done. I like how the vague but final conclusion could be interpreted by the reader however way they liked.

I just had to review! When I got to the part about Afghanistan, I cried, and then my heart broke when John didn't see him afterward... And then I laughed with joy when I saw h was reunited with Sherlock by the ending! Yay!
