Wow. Great, bitter-sweet story. I almost cried while reading this. Almost. But surprisingly, I managed to hold it in. Poor Jane. It was so heart-wrenching to see the usually mean-spirited vampire actually break down and cry over losing someone she actually loved, besides her bother. Keep up the good work.

It was a nice touch having Alec use his power to give his sister some peace, as a one shot it was good, BUT, what happens next? does Jane go off the deep end?

ask for the Volturi for a release from her pain?

or even become a sad shadow of her former self endlessly wandering the dark?

how does Alec handle any of these scenarios, the twins closeness is something the whole world of the Vampires knows about.

Not a huge fan of the Demitri/Jane thing, but I love your Jane/Alec interaction. Aro was perfect here, as well!

I enjoyed reading this. Jane's feelings of despair were portrayed well, and Aro's reaction to her pain was interesting. Good job!
