This was the most adorable Stames fic I have ever read in my entire life.

I *loved* this. It's not something I would normally read, but it's so incredibly well-written and well-handled, and completely in James' POV and style that I absolutely had to. I love the evolution of the relationship between James and Steve; loved the commentary on being Shepard's shuttle pilot; loved everything about this visual and highly enjoyable story.

Hi! I can't believe I missed this story but somehow I hadn't seen it till now...anyway, I love this story! Especially the way you have James' thoughts lined up, and the way you have the entire game summarized in James' head. And the whole Randy thing...that was the best! :)

'You're not allowed to be alone with him'- ok, probably one of my favorite lines in the entire story...it's sooo Vega! And Steve's response is gold and totally Steve.

Keep writing cause these two are probably my favorite couple in the entire game and no, you weren't the only one going down to that shuttle just for the bromance :)

I would normally say that I was d'awwing by the end of the story, but since it's a James story, I'll go with "it was freaking awesome."

My God, this story is so perfect! You captured the characters so well, especially James, and I love the way you write about his thoughts and feelings! It's so like James to stick by his opinion once he made up his mind! Which is nice, because it means that he'll also be true so Steve in the future, right?

Love it that you wrote this story in the present tense, by the way! Makes one feel much more included in the plot and closer to the characters! And it fits the slowly built-up relationship :)

This... this is just great. There's some typos and some confusing phrases and a few other minor issues, and normally I'd nitpick, but I don't care. You nailed this. James, Cortez, everyone - spot on. I love the premise. James is such a decisive person, and I love the idea of him deciding something so abruptly and then being taken by surprise by its logical conclusion. The like/no like thing is so characteristic of James (and so is the jealousy, on a side note). And it's such a pleasure to see how well you've developed his relationship with Cortez; it feels natural and in-character to me.
