YES! oh my god this is AWESOME. What a throwback to high school, way to go. Fantastic job capturing the unique environment that is marching band rehearsal. I feel like i'm reading an account of a my high school life,i can't decide whether i love or hate being so accurately reminded of that which is marching band...

Also, i was ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED the show they were playing was Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, the music from the Epcot fireworks show, but then I saw it was Fantasmic and all i have to say is how awesome that is as a field show. When i get done with class i'm for sure going home and playing that music.

So, I'm a total band geek, and I LOVE this. I don't know how things were done at your school, but at mine, there is no such thing as a sophomore being a Drum Major. The role falls almost always to a senior and occasionally a junior. Also, from your description, my band director would have a heart attack(again) if he saw this band perform. Zapata strives for perfection and works us dawn till dust. Think a male Sue but with no insults.

Will you be updating "Out of the Ordinary? I've been reading your one shots pretty much the whole morning, ditched two classes without noticing because i was so enthralled in them, and "Out of the Ordinary" has me craving for more.

I watched Drumline back then so I'm a bit familiar with the terms and other things but this is like epic! Interesting storyline especially that Rachel's a band (on freakin' drums, oh god.) geek. I can't wait for another update. XD
