Only the first chapter in and to be honest I'm scared to keep reading, considering how I'm already hooked and yet this fic hasn't been updated in 7 years... *sigh

This was one of the best GerIta fics I have ever read: unique idea (that played off of canon I love it when that happens omfg) , wonderfully executed, wonderfully written, in character...a fic where I could write long, annoying reviews wondering about small details and time periods ;)

See? This is why I like newbies. You always have the freshest ideas and the most IC interpretations (I love Prussia to death by he is a canon jerk. We tend to forget that.). AND you don't usually fall stray to cliches. Though it is hard to find ones that are written well. This most definitely subverts that. This is amazing. Seriously.

Poor Ludwig - doesn't have any friends or family. Doesn't know what'll happen next chapter, either.

World War One..than...I think (not good with that time period) Ludwig would be serving time in Russia? That's not good at all...or czech...um...I think Italy was on their side at that time...(before he betrayed Austria, the jerk) yes, at the beginning of the war it would be Russia or B...Bulgaria. No! Serbia. That's it. ( )ﾉ god, what am I going on about?

Aaanyway. This is truly excellent writing and an amazing plot (ah, the plot rears its ugly head!). Keep it up!

Good descriptive writing but you need to work on how you space paragraphs. Break some of those chunks up.
