This fanfic was great! I normally don’t really like romancy stories, but this one was awesome! Great grammar and vocabulary and good writing style. It’s really well done!

I know I already reviewed this story a while back, but I was taking a second peek at it (I still love it, it's probably the best Merlin/Freya fic out there), and I've got two new things to add. One) I wish this was a real musical, like a Rapunzel/King Arthur mix; it would totally blow the socks off of that muscial Camelot. Two) Having been watching season five on the web whenever I can, and knowing -spoiler- that Aithusa is now Morgana's dragon more or less, I seriously wish, after reading this story, that Freya had a more active role as Lady of the Lake on the show and Aithusa had become HER dragon instead. I bet, if she had, she wouldn't have been used as bait to keep Morgana in check and then she wouldn't have grown up all crippled and weird and not able to talk and what-not. Aithusa, espeically based on this fic, would have made such a great pet/friend for Freya!

You know what? I'm completely torn. This story is adorable, and I want to email it to my best friend who LOVES the movie Tangled. Unfornately, she doesn't like Merlin... At all. So that kind of kills that. LOL.

I love this story so much. I love how you changed the details to make it fit in with the plot of Merlin. So many crossovers just replace the characters names and just rewrite the story. This is absolutely beautiful. Maybe you could write a version of Tangled Ever After? Please?

Okay, WOW, I'm speechless. I seriously just sat down and read all eight chapters at a shot; I couldn't STOP reading. If it were a book, I'd say I couldn't put it down, LOL!

This story was amazing. I LOVED how you blended Tangled and Merlin together into one story: Merlin and Freya really did make perfect stand-ins for Rapunzel and Eugine, and I love how you kept true to their personailties from the show instead of making them EXACTLY like their Tangled fandom counterparts, cuz honestly Merlin as a thief wouldn't have worked at all; the way you did it, with him running an errand for Arthur was PERFECT. And Nimueh made a shockingly good Mother Gothel, and I was impressed with how you kept her so in-character. The bit where she hit Merlin with a fireball was a nice touch! My only complaint with that is I honestly was hoping for a more exciting/surprising end for Nimueh, instead of her just turning into dust after growing old like Mother Gothel in the movie, but that's okay.

At first, I found myself thinking that the songs were a bit much and you should have left them out and focused more on the story, but as the whole fanfiction progressed, I have to admit, my opinon of that quickly and drastically changed. You really made the songs fit in and work with the Merlin characters, and you wrote them in so well, the songs themselves and what was happening while they were going on/being sung. I got a real kick out of it being Lancelot who wanted to find a girlfriend in the story "I've got a dream", because I recently finished reading "The Once and Future King" and Lancelot was actually seriously ugly in that, instead of like in a lot of books where they make him this handsome, idealized 'perfect knight' character. I loved his part in this, and his ending up with Elaine at the end!

I have to admit, I was a little shocked that King Uther was so passive, I was half-expecting him to outlaw magic out of anger for his daughter being kidnapped, but I was also pretty glad that he didn't, because that would have been a detour in the plot and the way you wrote it was lovely and straight-forward. That's another thing I wanted to mention; the writing was great, so smooth and easy to read, simple without being choppy. Very excellent. And the way you went from prose to the songs when they came up was extremely well-edited.

Oh, and I really liked the memory-necklace plot device! What a brillant way for Freya to remember everything and draw the story to a climaz! That seriously was amazing.

My one teensy (and rather nit-picky and personal) critique is that I wish you'd left in the part from Tangled where Rapunzel was all torn up about leaving the tower like, "Best day ever! I am never going back!" and "I'm a horrible daughter, I have to go back." "What my mother doesn't know won't kill her..." "Oh, this is going to KILL her!" Firstly because it was my (and my mom's) favorite scene in Tangled, and secondly simply because I would have totally loved to see Merlin's reaction to Freya acting like that, I bet it would have been priceless!

"He was quite handsome, with jet-black hair, slightly rosy skin and those large yet adorable ears" -LOL, glad I'm not the only one who thinks his ears are kind of cute!

I am just discovering some of your work, but I have to say I absolutely love it! Freya/Merlin is always really, really sweet and the mix of it with Tangled was perfect! It was cute, adorable and it was gripping!
