Hi there, I have just started your story, I'm only on chapter...4, I believe, going on chapter 5. I really love your writing style. I admire it, I hope to one day have as great a vocabulary, grammatical and story structure skills like you.

The reason I'm commenting is because, the part that sherlock talks about how great john is, and how hes not trying to change sherlock to be a friend, well that really struck me. In a positive way, lol. To many times have I been told that there are so few true friends out there, so few friends that dont want to change, or fix one of them. It's the difference between two people that attract them into starting a relationship, be it romantic or platonic, such as only friendship. Its boggled my mind so many times. Iv been told, Thankyou, before because one of my friends needed to talk something out and wanted me to listen, than thanked me because I didn't try to change them in order to fix their problems.

So anyway, all I'm saying it I really enjoyed this chapter and that little part even more. I am looking forward to reading the rest and checking out your other stories, that is if you have any. Haha.

Not sure in the UK but in the US it would actually depend on the position held, as to whether or not Rank or Dr. is used. If he was in Medical, then it would be Doctor first and Captain second. While he would have held the rank of Captain he is in the position of a Doctor. And in war time while rank is a thing it is not used the same way out in the field. The men would be more inclined to call him Doctor than Captain, due to the fact that officers are often targeted first in war and a Doctor would be of more value than just an Officer to the enemy an more likely to keep him alive if for no other reason than for his abilities in medicine. But if he was acting as an Officer and medical was a secondary function then his rank would more than likely be used first. Though having said that they are interchangeable for those in the medical field for the armed forces and unless they are dicks about being called one or the other, then it’s not wrong either way.
