Normally I don't like it when writers change canon, but I absolutely love how you brought Tonks in! I also like how they saved Hermione anyway, and whether it will impact the story (I'm on chapter 5). I also really enjoy manipulative dumbledore, I wonder how his plans will change now Harry's in Slytherin. I think that the characters are all really believable, like how Neville went along with Ron but protested a bit anyway, and how Tonks fell when fighting the troll because she's clumsy, it all makes the characters seem more real.
I'm not completely sure if I'm supposed to review when I haven't finished reading the story, but I feel that I'll forget all the specific things I liked by the end :) Have a nice day!

I liked Harry's relationship with the goblins, but I don't see why Harry was so rude to Draco after he asked "Is Harry Potter on the train? My father said he would be here." Because we've read the books, we know that Draco probably wants to befriend Harry due to his fame, but for all Harry knew, Malfoy could be a long lost relative wishing to meet up, or have important business to discuss with him. It was pretty funny that they asked the hat to put Draco into Gryffindor though, it'll be interesting to see if Draco becomes more likeable because of it. Also, what I've read of Daphne so far (I'm on chapter 3) is good, but giving her violet eyes immediately makes me think of a Mary Sue ( ), even if she doesn't show many other characteristics. The relationship between Harry and Olivander is something I haven't read before, but it was well written and believable. Also, I like Hedwig being an eagle, that's something original too.
