Enjoying this so far, but I spotted an error, and it's a doozy. Ctrl-f and search for Arceus. In Green's POV section this chapter (6), end of her second paragraph, she lightly kicks her 'Arceus' to take off. Unless she nicknamed her Pokemon after the Pokemon God in the space of a paragraph while I wasn't looking, that should be Archeops.

Pretty good first chapter, interesting idea and plot; I wanted to ask if you would consider voting on my Poll as I need help deciding something for my recent Pokémon Fanfiction.

Wow . . . this story is way more disturbing than the real Pokémon and even the real Hunger Games combined . . .

Where was I when people started fighting to the death and dropping f-bombs every five seconds?!

In terms of gratuitous, unapologetic violence nothing quite tops Silhouette of Time, but this comes pretty damn close. What this story does have is some interesting, believable characters, and seeing Wildcard's slow descent into madness is just as sadistically enjoyable as the over the top deaths of the competing trainers he is forced to kill.

Oh that's right, there is a plot to this! I'm assuming it's based off of the Hunger Games books, but considering I've never read them I was pleased to find that everything in the story made sense to me and I didn't feel any lack of enjoyment for not being familiar with the inspirational material. Dump a bunch of unstable young trainers in the dangerous wilderness and watch them murder each other like a big gladiator fight- what other backdrop do you need? As stated earlier, there's just enough characterization and lore sprinkled throughout the story that the constant tension doesn't get stale. And aside from the occasional spelling issue everything is very well written. The physical descriptions were particularly gritty- little details like getting into the type of infection in a wound or exactly how a body felt as Wildcard tore into them with a hatchet makes all feel more visceral and helps us put ourselves in this character's shoes. That's really the scary part of it all, the thought that if any of us were put in the same situation as him we might end acting the sam

My only disappointment is that there's no real central antagonist to the story. For every Kitsurugu you need a Kotomine, for every Kenshiro you need a Raoh, and for every psychopath trainer bent on winning at any cost there really should be an even bigger psychopath that serves as an ultimate challenge for them to overcome. To be fair, an over the top action story does not necessarily need some big climactic battle at the end, but the author just keeps raising and raising the stakes until one incident where he tries to take on three trainers at once- everything else feels like a curbstomp battle in comparison after that. The pacing just kind of wears out a little too early, you know? By the last few chapters we already know who's going to win, the rest starts drifting almost into filler territory.

All that being said, this is still an exciting, dramatic story with enough action to keep you on your toes from start to finish. I really enjoyed it, and if they can stomach the violence I think other readers will too.

I think the concept is really cool and I'd love to see where this goes.

But you spent too much time focusing on the past of Japan- I don't care HOW the League was formed (at least now), I care about HOW this guy will win it.

Besides, someone who's been living in this world for a long time, it doesn't make sense how he'll think about that- instead of thinking how to survive.

But all-in-all, it was great.

I remember finding this story a long time ago, sometime around the first Hunger Games movie craze, and fell in love with it. Of course, considering that I was a lot more squeamish about the type of blood and gore displayed here, I ditched it a little while after. Of course, I used the fact that you hadn't updated in a while to justify it to myself, and went back to surfing elsewhere. Imagine my surprise when I come and check it out, only to find that not only had you updated again, but had indeed finished the fanfic. And boy, was that one hell of an ending.
The process of Wildcard's transformation was definitely one of the selling points I found, seeing as he fell deeper and deeper into darkness throughout the game. His loss of morality really struck me, and his increasing brutality started to make me understand how dangerous such a situation an be. I also really loved how you managed to integrate characters like Silver and Red from the manga volumes as well.
Keep up the good work.

That was a wild ride from start to finish and I loved every bit of it. The long wait from chapter to chapter was well worth it.

Wow. I'm glad you you went with the outcome here. I wasn't expecting you to, but this was pretty great. I loved Greens and everything, but from the beginning she just wasn't willing to to what needed to be done. That's how it goes in life. If you're not willing to do something, there's always someone willing to walk on top of you to do it.

I favorited this back in 2012... I completely forgot about it. Now, I have to re-read it .
Oh well. It was an awesome story, so it's worth it.
