I'm just wondering: why'd the kids think of each other as pretty? I mean, I'd get it if they were girls, but in my experience, boys don't think of each other as pretty. Itachi's describing Naruto as such was a little creepy for me too. Pedo-tendencies, it seemed. I don't know if you meant for that to happen, but that's how it appeared to me. Still, if you don't think the same thing, then don't change it on account of me.
