I really must wonder what Uther's thinking when Merlin loses his patience and consequently tears Arthur a new one and lists all the things he's done without them realizing. This was great.

Great story, and I loved the incredibly sweet ending!

Merlin, on the other hand, had warned Arthur of completely ludicrous things, like "don't shoot the unicorn" and "your new servant is possessed by the spirit of a long-dead sorcerer out for revenge" and more recently, (and more shamefully), "your father's fiancée is a troll".

Merlin leaned forward, maintaining eye-contact and bringing their faces so close together that Uther was almost ready to reconsider those rumours that the two were sleeping together.
