It's a shame you're not finishing this. I first read the original (it's really lame, but it has an interesting plot) and got really happy when I saw your note on the last chapter about rewriting it.

And this one is just so. Much. Better.

Brilliant story, I am so glad that you are updating this. I have never read the original except to skim through the first chapter to compare the two and this one is soooo much better! I am really looking forward to reading more. :)

I have to say that this chapter is a lot more... let's go with... realistic. When I read the first chapter of the original, I just sort of... twitched. It's a good idea, and as you're a better writer now, I'm sure it will be written well.

Why does Ichigo behave exactly the same, despite the fact that he died an old man? You would think after having lived to be an old man he might have matured, among other things.

That being said, I'm not convinced of the mistakes Ichigo is making with keeping his identity a secret, due to the fact that he has the memories and experience of a long-lived individual (his combat experience included), as opposed to the students whom having lost their memories from the living world, have far less social experience than him.

Of course, the points I bring up would be irrelevant if Ichigo simply became a recluse and ceased social interaction after having defeated Aizen, which would explain (albeit in a cheap way) why he's still behaving in the same manner as his young teenage self.
