I think you rounded this off beautifully. It's hard to picture him being back at work after the very, very severe beating he took (partial torture? Blimey, what's full torture?) but you blend his path back from Grimm back to cop very smoothly. Really nice and I hope you write more soon. With whumps in, naturally ;)
