imballinst chapter 66 . 6/11 I just finished reading all 66 chapters! Now, where should I begin? The story begins with a quite sad theme, with the flashback to Ash's disappearance. Well, it stayed like that until our heroes freed Ash anyway, but I like it since it added another layer of emotion to the story. I loved each of the flashbacks to Ash, Misty, and Brock's Kanto Journey with the gym leaders, as well as other interludes in-between (e.g. Pikachu forest, Mysterious Garden, Butterfree mating). I didn't expect Adam to unlock his Aura ability this fast. Still, what a way to unlock it in the Fuchsia City. Jason and Michelle were really something as Adam's friends (or even, family). I felt warmth when I read through their friendship. I kinda expected more Pearlshipping in this story - but since this is about the new generation and all, I think the moment where Ash returned home is more than enough to satisfy my shipping craziness. Darien's change of heart was unexpected, too. I'm glad he decided to be a better person for his family and ultimately, for Brittany. I'm so sad that Jessie, James, and Meowth would not be able to make it in the story :( They are such a thing in the Pokemon series. And Team Rocket are a disgusting organization now, ugh. I don't think I saw Adam winning the whole thing coming. But, considering he is the son of a Pokemon master, I think it's really helping because he didn't have to start from 0 like his father did. So, there's that. I think this is an amazing story. I'll be reading the Johto saga next. I'm so excited! Thank you so much for writing this! |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 66 . 2/28 This had been a brilliant story. And the ending sets up the sequel perfectly. I look forward to reading about Adams Johto Journey. Thank you so much for this brilliant story. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 64 . 2/28 I’ll admit. I wasn’t expecting Adam to win his first Pokémon league, but he’s probably more experienced than his father was at that age. Also very clever use of his Pokémon to create an indoor storm. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 60 . 2/26 Very entertaining Pokémon league. I’m eager to see how they end. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 56 . 2/23 It was very nice to see Brittany open up to everyone. After only having a father it must of felt so nice to discover, she also had an uncle, aunt and grandma. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 54 . 2/23 About as intense as the grand festival in diamond and pearl. I’m impressed. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 53 . 2/21 Exciting start to the grand festival. It’ll be interesting to see if any of the main girls win or even make it to the finals. Also good to see Brittany taking a keen interest in the Coordinator profession. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 50 . 2/4 I’m very happy to see the family reunited. I’m also eager to see whether Dawn will get to meet her brother and niece. I’ll bet telling Dawn the truth was hard for Johanna, but it would be hard for most people. I’m also eager to see what Kenny and Paul are gonna do now that Ash is back. I fear for his safety. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 45 . 2/3 What was your inspiration behind Jacob if you don’t mind me asking. Very powerful and makes for a sad history for Johanna and Dawn. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 42 . 2/2 I really do enjoy these family moments. I love seeing how close the combined Ketchum and Berlitz family is. I also like how the Oak’s treat Adam like family. As for Kenny one could argue Dawn has grounds for a restraining order, but I have a feeling she won’t do something that extreme. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 39 . 2/1 If Paul really thinks having a legendary is enough. I have a feeling he’s in for a big surprise. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 38 . 2/1 This will be a hard one to discuss with Dawn and Johanna. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 31 . 1/31 Very creative contest move for Michelle. Definitely deserved the win |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 25 . 1/25 This might be favourite chapter so far. Really loved the conversation between dawn and her mother. |
Couchpotato 88 chapter 24 . 1/25 Honestly doesn’t surprise me that Dawn’s a regular customer of Erika’s. |
