Reviews for Different By Moonlight
auri-australis chapter 2 . 10/8/2014
After reading the part in LoC where she bonds Rand I realized how interesting Alanna's character is. Wonderful story, amazing pair. And I just gotta love Ihvon, though I didn't understand what he had to go through when Alanna bonded Tam. Update soon? Please? I think there should be more...
BTMX chapter 2 . 4/30/2014
Very nice. One of the few works that I have found that is worthy of the Wheel of Time name. Thank you for the read, I look forward to the possibility of more from you.
Dobraine chapter 2 . 10/8/2013
I started to review this chapter yesterday, but I'm not sure if I sent it out. So, first, I like that you humanized Alanna. I always thought she was a lot more fun then your run of the mill Aes Sedai. But that she cares to help the wounded is a wonderful trait. I also like the line about Myrelle, because I've always had trouble telling the two apart. Now I know :) Myrelle is a tramp.

After that it gets steamy!

Last section. One nit. "frankly insane" is a colloqulism. I'd try to avoid that if you were ever to rewrite. It changes the voice of the narrative to something really chatty. I like that you mention rumor. RJ was big on rumor, particularly in these small towns, so it was in keeping!

The problem of his responsibilities was neatly fixed. Of course, it would have been impossible with events as they occurred, but still. It was fun! One last thing, as you surmised, it does get a little fangurl at the end ;) but everyone loves a happy ending.
Dobraine chapter 1 . 10/6/2013
Wow, this is a great idea! And I didn't know about this story! Or I saw it, and thought, I hate stories about moonlight. But Gardens of the Moon sure fooled me. I actually found it looking for stories to add to my community. I searched Alanna, and Bam! It was you!

I really like this story. Not only is it a completely plausible pairing, I confess, I never even considered it. I'm going to add it to my archive. I think you captured Tam pretty well, the stolid, bluff exterior. The knowing and competent older man. Quickfire Alanna. Funny, she totally would have bonded Tam, too. If she had been prevented from bonding the son, that is. Which makes me wonder what you do in the next chapter. Will you alter the canon, or keep it within... :)
Bob G. Leeman chapter 2 . 6/13/2012
passion tastefully consummated in the traditional Green Ajah manner; first sex, then bonding! or if you are Myrelle, then after that, marriage! Alanna seems to regard Myrelle as a bit of a nymphomaniac? I see her more as a sort of husband-addict... but this doesn't seem that AU? you should have a third chapter set in the Stone of Tear, where I think Tam and Alanna might meet, she had better mask the bond next time or there might be father / son awkwardness in the morning! great writing and more-or-less canonical too! WitL!
MalkieriJester chapter 2 . 4/21/2012
Really good stuff! I liked the whole idea, and the writing was good too! You captured to feel and (in the context of an AU) the characters very well. More Please!
Kairan1979 chapter 1 . 4/1/2012
I can imagine this. Definitely in character for Alanna after losing her Warder.
Bob G. Leeman chapter 1 . 3/20/2012
I don't think this is that unlikely to happen! very well written and in-character, will there be further episodes? or will Alanna decide that if she can't have the father, she might as well chase after the son instead? WitL!
