Kuroren MVP of the chapter for making this Sesshoumaru make an ass of himself! I really love the ritual and thought put into Kagome's new power and weakness. It was so well explained without feeling like an info dump and really added to the world building of this story takes place in.

Kuroren's expression did not change. "I am currently at Kagome-sama's pleasure." Miroku's expression did.

This line always makes me cackle every time i read it. Kuroren baiting other people never ceases to amuse me.

Wonderful story! One of your last author's notes mentioned how you felt about the politics bu how you are letting it play out! Love your writing style and the clear depth of knowledge you have on Japanese tradition and how you use that to structure so many interactions in your characters. I've read Five Kingdoms so many times, and actually came back to read what you have up for Bone Eater yet again before I came across this one. Her shiki are killing me! I know you probably won't update this but pleassse never stop writing - you're honestly one of my favorite authors and I don't have to worry about any weird romantic subplots taking over - you tie them in naturally, or just hint at them, and honestly that's the best. And all the cute pack stuff without having to worry about romance - just very sweet moments of companionship/skinship - always have me sold. Thanks and good luck!

I was reading and re reading and re re reading, and it's just too funny how the inu youkai behave like... dogs. Like leaning on your hooman and getting a pat and making the other dog annoyed or jealeous. And the thing about not laying on their back, that would show their belly and it's a submissive position, but on the side and face down is okay, and I imagine my dogs as huge ass dogs and god there would be so much drool.
At least they share their scent from the hair, not the butt.

Sei has hidden depths, I just know it! He's just so placid, I'm with Sesshoumaru, makes ya wonder lol. I am a massive fan of how you are going about encouraging a relationship between Sesshoumaru and Kagome, him needing a pack was brilliant. Also again Aki is officially one of my favorite OCs, he's absolutely fantastic. I really think you have something special here, and I dearly hope you return to this story at some point, but if that spark to write this has left you, I loved what we got.

All these snuggles I could use a pack, I used to sleep in a dog pile with friends when I was little and this is making me miss that! Sesshoumaru could learn a lot of things from his uncle.

I can't believe you have people talking about the fact Kagome can't have kids. As you said she already has then even if they aren't by blood and that doesn't have to be the pinnacle of a woman's life! I loved Kagome talking over Sesshoumaru, as long as his buttons are pressed in happy. And I liked seeing into Shipoos thoughts on everything happening.

Man I really am enjoying your OCs immensely, why is it so hard to find good OCs? Well, Al least you have totally delivered! They are all quite interesting, especially Aki and his typical kitsune ways. I'm still not convinced there isn't a little something something up with Kuroen. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking, because watching him rile up Sesshoumaru like that was beyond hilarious and I dearly wish to see more of that.

The image of Chiaki giving her a disgusting amount of money casually is amusing. I can just imagine her tossing it at Kagome like "Whatever, I have a lot of this, this should be enough right? I don't buy things from humans"

A very interesting view of Sesshoumaru. It's also nice to see a Kagome who understands youkai culture.

I realize it's been years since this was updated. BUT WOW. Again, your writing simply amazes me. I keep binge reading everything - I get so involved in your fluid and masterful story telling. Your own characters have life breathed into them so seamlessly. How wonderful and exciting it is to read your stories.

I really enjoy this story! You write so well and the story and environment is so rich, I can see all that is happening in my minds eye. I really hope you update this story. Thank you for your hard work!
