On feet unusually steady), I love that particular line. A story that perfectly captured Haymitch,a nd fixed that I always hated Collins just implied he abandoned Katniss. Well, she didn't imply, but actually said it, but remember the thing was from Katniss's point of view, and she isn't all-seeing and all-knowing and can't know what everyone does all hours of the day. I can easily see Haymitch watching over her like that.

A confession: I favourited this story a while ago just for the sake of that author's note at the end because I too agree there was no second choice after Woody Harrelson ;) However, I've now just read the full story for the first time and wish I could favourite it twice. I loved it! I love the descriptions, especially this one: 'On feet unusually steady he makes his way through the house, stopping for another bottle and a glass.' Just so fantastically Haymitch! And the way he jiggles his glass at Sae! I love the idea of him visiting Katniss at night and watching over her while she sleeps. It never satisfied me that Collins has him abandon her. I'm actually writing my own story about Haymitch and Katniss after the Rebellion - I hope you might enjoy reading it.
