I really wish you would begin writing again your one of the few authors that can really capture the nuances of Palpatine's personality without depicting him as emperor pure evil unlimited power. There always seemed to be some affection for Anakin in Palpatine before Mustafar and you really capture the struggle in this story. Having Palatine defeated by what seemed to be a game of lightsider was a stroke of genius as a way to keep Shev alive while displaying the true power of the chosen one. I hope you come back one day to share with us part 2 until then I wish you the best.

While I don't agree with the "doomed to fail" idea on Anakin/Padme, I am loving this entire thing. I started reading it years ago, but stopped early on due to my star-wars mood dying off for a time.

BTW, if you don't mind, I'd like to use you're description how Mace sees Shatterpoints. Unless that's canon, the wiki isn't too descriptive.

Amazing chapter

I read this story ages ago, but I just realized I never left a review. It deserves a million and more! This story was so, so good; it had me on the edge of my seat throughout the tale, and the story itself was masterfully woven. I think you did a great job of getting into the characters' thoughts, and I really enjoyed seeing the way things could have gone. This is probably the best AU I have ever read; thank you for writing this.

I only just discovered this wonderful story today, and boy I am glad to have done so. The style of writing, the plot, the characterisations - all of it comes together to make such a beautiful and intriguing tale that I simply had to finish reading all of it in one sitting.

The turmoil you put Anakin is wonderful - the forwards and backwards pulling of Palpatine and Padme and Obi-wan makes for some wondrous conflict. Everything about this story is amazing, and I'm so glad to have read this tale.

Do you intend to continue this? This is one of my favorite Star Wars stories. I see you've finished part 1 but I still haven't seen part 2 start even though its been over 2 years. (

I'm like... stuck between fist pumping and freaking out right now. This was a great chapter, really insightful and a wonderful pace - I know I have a tendency to go too slow or too fast, but your story really has a good rhythm of strike and counterstrike, it makes it so addicting.

It was really great to see Palpatine openly admit to himself that he cared about Anakin, I didn't think that would happen under such seemingly calm circumstances. Also it's great that Anakin's nature forces Palpatine to lean heavily on this attachment instead of looking at him as nothing more than a pawn. Their deepening bond is very interesting, and I love that Palpatine can't quite pull the wool over Anakin's eyes as much. Then again, Anakin's promise at the end isn't... well, promising lol. Desperation makes that boy a hazard to everyone, friend and foe alike.

The part with Obi-Wan gives me chills and hope. So sad to see the clones used against the generals they fought alongside, and I could feel poor Obi's hopelessness at first. I'll admit my respect for Padmé has increased after this move, you get them, girl! And Obi might be hatching a plan, hurray! YES, Obi-Wan, GET ANAKIN AWAY FROM PALPATINE AND TALK SOME SENSE INTO HIM. Get him into that holocron vault!

Man, I can see this turning into a crazy struggle between Obi and Palps that'll nearly tear Anakin into two. This is going to be messy.

Oh boy, I stumbled across your stories by complete accident and I'm so glad I did. Part 1 was beautifully written, and I enjoyed your portrayal of the SW characters. While it's been some time since you've posted anything on FF, I hope someday you may return with more of your wonderful ideas.

Hi, I just discovered this story,and wow. It's so well written and planned. Also all the character portrails. Everyone has depth, clear motives, actual growth,and are interesting . You should have wrote the prequels man. I hope you finish this at some point. Because that's a hell of a cliffhanger to leave it on my guy. Really needed to read somthing like this after seeing TLJ...So thanks!
