are you god? are you just j.r.r. tolkien of the modern world? this has been fantastic! Holy moly you can write well, not just well, but brilliantly, cleverly. I have enjoyed every aspect of this. I've never watched an episode of Smallville in my life (tho I do adore other DC works, so i can understand the basic characters) but you have so brilliantly eased a newbie such as myself into the world of Smallville. And as for Danny himself, well, you've captured him in the most deep, alluring, eccentric and perfect way. I was actually crying so much while reading this chapter. You evoke emotion, thought and connection so beautifully.

This was a good chapter. I love the farming themed ghosts that seem to be attracted to the small farm town of Smallville. The souls thing definitely made Harvester an interesting opponent. Each strike gained him a new hostage. I loved Danny and Clark at the end. "What's this?" "I don't know. Shit just happens to me and I go along with it." It was so funny and so like them. Danny's exasperation just serves to amuse us horrible unsympathetic people.
