Oh my, seems this will be a magnificent read!

I couldn't start that review any other way than with that exclamation !

FINALLY !

It took that much time, that much pain, that much anger, that much frustration... but they are together again, at (long) last !

And that almost brings tears of JOY ! to my eyes !

After a relatively calm beginning (and tensions apparently diminishing bw Raven & Melissah), stress suddenly burst in via hoof sounds, and that breathless chase left us clinging to hope's cliff... deadly suspense... would she be caught again or not...? But after enduring that much, and be freed only so recently, the recapture of Raven would have been dead cruel, wouldn't it ? But fortunately, you chose to NOT be so cruel with one of the protagonist of this amazing story ! My endless gratitude for that !

Rhet's death pleased me so much as well, but i'll feel even better when it will be Khalimat joining the Underworld, where she belongs. Can't wait to read about her demise, which i hope will be Raven's doing.

I felt also happy about both women displaying such urge, such "hunger" against that cold wall... love speaxxxx, of course, but its related companion, sex, does as well, and it's only natural (those who consider sex as "filthy", poor of them... their narrow-mindedness / uptightness is pitiful...)

And what also pleased me was Raven feeling better as she went past the Hudar... HER people... and how she felt better hearing HER language, Hudari, from Jarl's mouth... her feeling better, more relaxed, triggered incredible happiness in me ! You are welcome, Raven, welcome back... we've missed you... especially a certain former Queen... who, no doubt, can't wait for night time...

All in all, after such tension & suspense, it feels so good, so wonderfully good, to witness this both touching AND arousing reunion... and i'm eager to see them talk to each other again, and show affection to each other again !

One more thing i also can't wait for : Raven beeing freed from that g***oddamn, bl**oody, f***ucking silver band which should NEVER have been attached to her wrist.

Khalimat, you're as good as dead. And boy, do you deserve to be !

I'm happy as can be about those 2 chapters i read in 2 days, and will make sure to regularly check on you (maybe find how to have FanFiction messages fall again in my inbox, and not my spam box).

Sorry for the late review to your one-to-last chapter, but all Fanfiction notifications now go directly to the spam folder of my mailbox... for mysterious reasons ! I therefore missed the notif's for that update and the following, for chapter 13. So, sorry, but i really didn't expect that mail bug...

Anyway... i was delighted to realize that you had updated not just once but TWICE, since past year ! Great news for the avid reader i am ! :)

The strength of character of your female characters is still remarkable, with Alyssa, Raven, Melissah and Khalimat putting on quite a "shoW" here and it's so toe-curling to see Jarl and Xander be put in their (right) place (now playing : EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE, Radiohead). I must say that this pleases the anti-chauvinist that i am to no end ! Sexist guys are unforgivable, so it's nice to see Jarl and Xander shaking on their macho base. GO HEROINES !

And it was also funny witnessing the lil' argument bw Raven & Melissah, with the latter almost making the Hudar choke on her food at the menion of 'hot and bothered'... that was an amusing moment !

Khalimat really is a despicable person, no doubt. Using people without remorse and scheming in the darkness to reach her ultimate ruling goal... such a contemptible heap of flesh. She is the great enemy behind all this, Kenos being only a puppet, what we call a "straw man", used as some kind of tool (i remember the sentence "She was a tool", describing Khalimat's persepctive about Raven).

And i am on the contrary admirative of Alyssa, former queen who almost turned in some war strategist after a transitory status of escapee. Her metamorphosis, from royal comfort to sheer rawness (her speaking Hudari will never cease to amaze me...), is beyond impressive, and definitely is one of the major achievements in this amazing story of yours.

Also of interest in this chappy is the "entering the scene" of young Grayson. He briefly turned up in previous chapter, but now he's really involved in the "game", and i'm really curious to find out what his input in this story will be...

Last, i'm still eager to see Alyssa and Raven reunited in the nearest future (nearest possible, that is).

All in all, I'm delighted to resume reading this story, which is still as brilliant as ever, so congrats for the umpteenth time, dear Khaleda !

And now, if you'll excuse me... i've got a certain chapter 13 to devour ! ;)

Had me for a moment. Almost thought Raven wouldn't make it to the city. Hopefully her wound turns out ok. More than likely she fainted due to blood loss. I'm hoping for more interaction between Raven and the other Hurdur. Also would like to know what's in that bag newly named Jinx gave Melissah. And finally I really hope they find a way to get that shackle off of Raven. Now I am worried about the incoming fire attack. Otherwise ecstatic for the new chapter. I was previously dying of death. Now I am alive and well. My goodness I wish you nothing but positive vibes and a wish for great health and wealth. Chapter is spectacular. Can't wait for more.
