I know that this is years later but I really liked most of this story. I would have liked a reaction from everybody on the pregnancy & I really would have liked you to have not had a pregnant Beckett get shot! This was an AU story so you had every opportunity to change that outcome. I would have liked it much better if you'd had Castle getting shot. But that's just me.

Laura Bontrager recommended this story as one of her favorites and I certainly see why. This was beautifully crafted and written and now it’s one of my favorites.

This story still packs just as much of a punch as the first time I had read it. I love their journey in this, and the way you write it - so deliberate with your words and structuring to pack maximum impact into every sentence. And you get them both spot-on - the way you get into Castle's head to tell the story is fantastic, but so is your portrayal of how he sees Kate, what he feels for her, how he understands her. I love it, and I love the end, and I will forever believe that their baby is fine, growing up strong and healthy. :)

I realize this is an older story but it still packs a punch! Wow! I'm so thankful someone recommended it recently. I loved, absolutely loved the hesitant blooming of their relationship and the tenderness. It was powerful. Thank you for writing this.

Every once in a while, I come back and reread this fic. This is one of the best season 3 au fics out there. Also one of few times where the title is echoed so beautifully in the final chapter.

I love the simplicity of your style because it narrows everything down to these super intense, amazing moments of emotion. I don't know if that's a very good description, but I hope you understand what I mean.

holy fuck balls you are evil.i just sped through this fic, and i was thinking 'oh she's pregnant, no way is she gonna get shot' then she was and i think my heart stopped for more then a moment. now, if you need me, i think i might go cry in a corner for a while cause this fic hurt like a bitch.
