God, what a rollercoaster. Chapter 21 nearly slayed me, I'm so relieved we got a happy ending after all of that. Fanatically written dude, I love this pairing and you did them so much justice and just goddamn 11/10. What a read.

That start out was so cute and awesome and then that downward spiral into darkness had me crying real jesus tears man, I was near ready to commit murder until the epilogue so Thank you for not leaving it on that deathly note! 11/10 well written, captivating, watered my crops and cleared my skin through my tears!

I was finally able to read this and I LOVED it! This was such a Gelphie rollercoaster! Especially at the end! You had me SOOOOOO worries at the second-to-last chapter! I was ready to FIGHT THE WIZARD and CHUFFREY!

Soz it took a little longer to finish this fic than I expected. :(

Anyway, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read! The writing itself probably isn't quite of the same calibre as Her Lady's Maid, but then again this was clearly written at a time of lesser maturity so I brushed over a few of the typos and errors (although there were a few). Nevertheless, I've read significantly worse! The dialogue was, for instance, really funny, and provided many more laughs than I expected, mostly through Galinda mispronouncing character names and her typically ridiculous vocab. There was also some classic deadpan Elphaba lines- my personal favourite was early on, when they went shopping, and she said "Back to Shiz?", which kinda reminded me of a scene in a TV show called Daria, if you've ever seen that.

I also liked the fact that you managed to maintain a light, humourous and fluffy tone throughout while also touching on some interesting ideas about prejudice and social injustice. The idea of the malsexuals was much more intriguing than the usual segregation of Animals plot and overall made for a very refreshing change. The characterisation of Glinda and Elphaba was great too; their personalities were kept consistent throughout and their relationship never grew tiresome or vacuous.

The one thing I would criticise was some of the plotting. Well, actually most of it was quite convincing and well developed. Mostly, it was the ending that was problematic. I felt kinda cheated after reading over 100,000 words only to discover that essentially Glinda just presses a massive reset button and they end up exactly where they started. It undermined a really nice story, but again, it's obvious the ending was written by an author who was still developing at the time. :) For the most part, it was a very satisfying read!

HOW CAN THIS FIC TO BE SO GOOD?

I just finished binge-reading all the chapters in two days. I can't express how much I love this story. I was in tears constantly and almost yelled in the last chapter. I knew you wouldn't be that cruel to kill off the characters but you are excellent at triggering emotions!

One thing I love the most is they are so in character. You are so good at handling the characterisation. I am new in this fandom, and reading your fic sometimes made me feel like I couldn't differentiate the canon and your work because your writing is so authentic and original. It is like reading a carefully edited published work rather than a fanfiction. Are you actually a professional author?

Another thing I love as a Gelphie/Wicked newbie is I don't need to check reference at all. I can follow the story without explicit knowledge of Wicked or Oz. (And now I know a lot after this) The story explains itself properly without long unnecessary elaboration.

The fluffiness in between of the angst is of right amount. Perfect portion. Thank Oz for some cuteness between the chapters or else I would have cried myself to death. The epilogue is a bit short but it resolves all the bitterness.

I am glad that I only found this fic after it is completed. I can't imagine how to survive your year-long break!
