I loved this so much. Tony and Michelle are perfect, and peek into how they could've turned out is spot on. It's an interesting POV choice, one that I found myself enjoying a lot more than I thought I would, just because 2nd person isn't used often, and the added benefit of having it from Maddie's perspective gives it a nice, fluffy feel. One thing I'd suggest is to be careful to stay in Maddie's head; the only thing that really jumpd out at me was at the end after Mason spoke, the line "The little guy was never a talker." I'm just not sure if that's something a 7-year-old would think. But that's the only thing that really stood out, and it's pretty minor, so overall, this piece is definitely five stars.
