Of all the Charles and Elsie stories on here, yours are some of the best, and the ones I look most forward to...

I never finished reviewing this story and it has been a joy to re-read it from the beginning. I so enjoyed their tentative musings and touches. I think that you've really captured their characterizations and kept them very close to what would/could/should happen in Series 3...we can only hope. I hope that you will continue writing as I have enjoyed this and other stories of yours and I think you do an incredible job, especially for someone whose primary language is not English! More, please!

Finally finished it! Just read chapeters 2 and 3. I really like the building tension in the second chapter. It's so clear there's something there, that they can only think of each other and they know that too. And then they finally let it all go and let themsleves be free and do what they really want in chapter 3. Even though they're still so shy, a bit hesistant too to say the words aloud. The ending is just lovely.

Oh this was such a sweet story! How they slowly found out about each other (well, after this rather shocking start for Charles) and in the end managed to admit their feelings. Yep, this could have happened in the series...

I love this line: "A little less of the old, please... Our age difference is not so big that I won't be slightly offended." It's so her and so them. Thank you for sharing this lovely story! It is just so warm and lovely.

Sigh, I love how they love each other. You write so well, it feels real. I am glad they had the moment of really seeing each other. I hope they realize what it means.

Yay for happiness! I just didn't realize that it would turn around that quickly. hehe. I'm certainly glad that it did, though, despite being a bit saddened that the story is over. This was lovely, and I really hope that you grace us with more wonderful C/H stories very soon! :)

I like your Elsie characterization because she is just the correct amount of forthright and practical in her thinking process and I do believe this could be how they fall into step with one another, love, hesitancy but not that much restraint once they know about each other's feelings and practical worry that their job is their life, livelihood and social status and must be preserved. Well done.

You made Elsie actually speak Scottish! *dies* Those last few sentences, when she gets her bearings and becomes just a tad bit cheeky, were absolutely flawlesss. Oh, who am I kidding, this whole chapter was lovely! I love how they went about it, Charles' reluctance and Elsie's impatience over the slowness of their conversation... brilliant!
