Thank you for this great story, written with so much insight. I liked the humour and the sadness, both equally well done. The song was breathtaking, by which I mean when it dawned on me what was hidden in the parcel and that he had already given her the present without her noticing, I actually did stop breathing for a moment.

Molly's reasoning is sound, however one might wish it wasn't so.
Loving the little details, like that John preferred looking at a gutted corpse to meeting Molly's eyes!

It's been a while, so I reread the whole thing. It's still adorable. It's still well done. The characterizations are great. I enjoyed how the non-relationship moved and fell apart from Molly's obstinace. It's good to see her using her backbone in the face of such overwhelming Sherlockness. I also liked that you pointed out how Sherlock is John's first priority, thus putting Molly's heart on the back-burner. And also! Doing all this writing while you're really sick? That's a wonderful accomplishment. A friend of mine had to put aside a story because of a long-term illness, so I know how hard it can be. Thank you so much for sharing your story and strength with us.

Well, my answer was a worth a try. More than Sherlock or Molly, I am really enjoying John in this. Haha.
