it's a good thing kagome doesn't scar... if you notice in manga and anime the times she's drawn in the buff when she's bathing and when she's marinating in tokajin's kitchen, she's got no scars! kaede exclaimed that she was so much more than kikyou's reincarnation when she became aware enough to recall her soul when inuyasha was in true danger from kikyou, except for the piece that was kikyou. and her soul could not be contained by kanna's mirror... my theory is that since she had housed the jewel she may have picked up more than kikyou... in the end when she was in the void and inuyasha was inside the jewel fighting the youkai and bakemono and they spoke but midoriko was on autopilot and didn't even notice him... kagome's arrow had purified the jewel making it more good than evil but midoriko didn't have a voice. i contend that midoriko is the main part of kagome's soul and with both her and kikyou's power as well as whatever power of other parts of the jewel were absorbed by her...

nice analogy about the butterfly. although kagome is extremely strong she's not trained so needs protection on occasion.

on youtube: rachel and jun japanese don't say 'i love you'? ...it's in the culture, inuyasha shouts his feelings all the time and she understands... she's a bit wary of their relationship although she's likely more worried kikyou would try and hurt him or entrance him again... she's feels better in her position in inuyasha's affections after mt azusa.

Okay. I'm sorry. THIS is my favourite so far. Wait. You know what? Every chapter you post isubject my favourite. I really liked this. I mean, it was kinda sad, yes. But I was so interesting to see the friendship between these people and how they really sympathize with Kagome (she's the heart of the group ( )) and really love how each of them would do their best to comfort Kagome. This was really sweet, I loved it.

This is my favourite chapter right now. My. Favourite. I was imagining the whole story vividly and it was amazing! I know this is a fanfiction but I couldn't help but think, 'THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!'
