| Guest chapter 49 . 5/7 i enjoyed this more than i expected to after reading some of your other shorter fics, which were fluffier than my taste runs - little too domestic toward the end for me (i'm a sucker for grit and ambivalent endings) but there was a nice blend of sweetness & darkness. your portrayals of hermione & snape made them likeable together, which not everyone can pull off, and i liked that you painted them both as shy outsiders instead of these super confident, empty-shell war heroes. it made their relationship kind of heartwarming without it seeming maudlin. nice work. |
