Hey i am really enjoying this story! What i like about it is even tho its an OC, the way people interact with her is realistic and she seems to be a realistic person, like she isnt doing any cliche over the top things. I also like that there are hardly any mentions of her looks. Like when Darry likes stuff about her, its stuff like about her personality and not just her looks. Thats really nice. I also love how you write Dally! I want to see a lot more of him. And i think him coming off as annoying is totally realistic since i dont imagine him getting along well with many people but also when he comes to the house the spend the night, that was a really nice touch because he wories about JOhnny but would never say it. I also like the bond that her and Darry are developing with being psuedo parents, but i hope to see more character development from JOhnny. I mean i like him so far but I hope he doesnt just become a background character. I also like that she doesnt baby him, that is so annoying in poorly written ffs. I am also interested to see where the plot goes. Oh but two things that I thought were confusing. 1. He doesnt have his stuff from his house. Like he needs his stuff doesnt he? 2. When is this happening. Because at first it said that it was a few years ago he got jumped, then it said that he was 16 which is the same age he got jumped? I am assuming years was a typo and it should have been months then? So Emma is 20 and Darry I guess just made 21? So this is a few months after when the book would have taken place? Hope you update soon. Also curious as to where Johnny has been the last 2 days.

Benignmilitary: I agree with you about gun somewhat except that ppl wouldn't in IF they could be SHOT. Johnny did do what se Lea did without knowing her or questioning her when he met her because he had the gun. Johnny's dad also took off. Maybe his dad was a little too angry and not scared enough at the funeral. But I felt Jim's anger overpowering his fear at the bar was realistic because the guy is violent, psychotic, & out of it being drunk.

Maybe Johnny could've been a little wary of her when he met her but he was. Then be for to know his cousin. Maybe he could've been a little wary for her a bit longer until they met their grandmother and her indenting was confirmed. But it's the east side and Johnny is used to that kind if thing. So he probably didn't see it as threatening and trusted his cousin.

So I don't see anything wrong with the gun thing

OMG Thank you! I love this idea, of saving Johnny! Now she should convince Steve to move out. And knocking off Johnny's parents, one by one! Dally will love her!
