Yes that WAS depressing- I actually cried.
Annnnnyways I still enjoyed it despite Simon and Theodore um- dying in it. Alvin's little dialogue to his younger brothers was very cute.

So heartbreaking. Very well written, the flash back scenes were especially graphic. Great job. :)

This made me cry or tear up it is so sad. But good job! I actually felt I was Alvin going through this pain and losing his brothers, really tragic. And what also made me sad was Simon and Theodore. Simon is my all time fav, and the way he suffered made burst into tears and also Theodore :'(. But awesome job I love the story keep writing!

OH MY GOD! This is incredibly depressing and so tragically sad at what happened to Alvin and Dave. The guilt eating at Alvin must be unspeakably great on his heart. Your risk of death of characters paid off handsomely well with such a story. How horrifying is it to think about Theodore's slow and fucking cruel death by burning. The screams would have haunted Alvin's conscience for decades, and happens fuelling his vengeance against the arsonist. That what makes this story so unfair and unbelievable. It was intended murder! I'm in the camp that supports a follow up to explore Dave and Alvin's recovery. Where would The Chipettes fail in? How would Alvin move on without his band let alone brothers? How would the media covers this? So many possibilities, but as a stand alone one-shot, great job!

This was so sad... but so good. I genuinely don't understand why it doesn't have a lot of reviews! It deserves way more. :) I wasn't kidding when I said it made me cry my heart out. I almost had to stop reading because I got this feeling in my tummy that made me just want to curl up in a ball in some random corner and sob, but I kept reading because it was so good!

I cried so hard, my computer shut down from being drenched. Sadly, no matter how hard I try not to, I can imagine what is happening to the characters in a story as if it is a movie scene. That made me cry even more. Please come back to the AATC archive.

Well this was a very beautiful, sad one-shot. I loved how your portrayed Alvin's emotions towards the loss and the way he took action when the fire became more evident. I'm sad they died, but it made or a very touching story. I loved everything about it.

OMG! This story was so sad! I felt so bad for Alvie in this story! Losing both of his brothers so tragically! I liked how you had Vinny consoling poor Alvie, but the red-clad 'munk is inconsolable.

He feels responsible for that fact that while he escaped the fire that took their home, Simon and Theo didn't. I can't blame Alvie for his pain, but I know that his brothers would not like to see him blame himself.

This deeply moved me, Alvie has always been my favorite 'munk so when something bad happens to him it touches me. Whoever set fire to the 'munks home was a sicko!

Anyway, this story moved me greatly. Perhaps you could do a follow-up where Alvie and Dave learn to get past their loss. Just a suggestion.

Anyway, I hope to read more from you soon.

Just kidding, I know you wouldn't do that. But I do have a story in progress with the Chipmunks being caught in a fire. It's not nearly as sad as yours though.

I'm dead serious, your story made me choke up a bit. It was very beautifully written :)
