empatheticsympatheticpathetic chapter 1 . 6/18/2012 Impeccable writing. I should say... I can read a 1k-word fic for 15 minutes. And read a short drabble even longer to milk the words out of it because it was just plain amazing. And i'm talking about the latter, btw. Great fic. I just hoped that it was Ritsu he saw |
HirakoA chapter 1 . 5/31/2012 Takano's actions and thoughts were so fluid, it was like I was watching it all playout. Wonderfully written drabble; Takano's feelings are so achingly believeable and heart clenching. Great job! |
Dolasiar chapter 1 . 2/28/2012 I really liked the pacing in this piece. The way Masamune's thoughts flew felt just like carefully timed shots in a movie. I can't think of other ways to elaborate on this, but I thought it was the most effective aspect of the story. Even before I read the rest of the paragraph, I loved the description of the other guy as oblivious. It felt like such a good, strong word to use to describe someone who was so *not* what Masamune wanted to find. The last line, though, jolted me out of a reverie. Up until that point, all of the descriptions could have come from a first person narrative and gave a close, personal feeling. (The vodka metaphor, although pretty dark, fit in pretty well for me.) So now I'm stuck halfway thinking I don't like the line and halfway thinking I want to bluff and say I think it's very deep despite not understanding a tertiary meaning to it. Overall, I thought it was a beautiful piece that said just the right amount about Masamune's character. |
nonavailable chapter 1 . 2/27/2012 What a lovely piece! Again, I loved your insight. I especially enjoyed your take on Takano and what he must have gone through. But I really loved (I mean really, really loved!) the ending line. As a reader, it left me with a better understanding of how bleak things must have seemed for Takano. Poor guy, he suffered a great deal longing for his love like that. Anyway, great work! I look forward to reading more from you :) |
Fedski chapter 1 . 2/27/2012 A great short little fic. I really like how you captured Masamune's character and his longing for Ritsu. Congrats on an interesting fic! |
Cerberus Revised chapter 1 . 2/27/2012 Always so nice to see a new piece from you. Your work manages a quiet sorrow so beautifully. Takano's longing is palpable. I'm going to pretend the person he saw among the stacks is Hiroki, I don't know if that was your intention, but the description reminds me of a young Kamijou. The last few lines are so poignant "It was sweating like a glass of vodka on the rocks." the allusion in this metaphor of Takano's long and lost time of inebriated darkness is profound. Lovely work. Thank you so much for writing. |
Cc Blu chapter 1 . 2/27/2012 VERY INTERESTING |
