I JUST realized I commented twice on this story without truly reading it and... I think that was his/the end. Catcher tried several times to rewrite the inevitable and in the end it just... crumbled. The End. I think I overlooked it because of how amazing the story was and just wanting more variations of Samcedes that it showed regardless of how he tried to change their story, fate always intervened. This made the story even more beautiful now. I’m mad it took 2 1/2 readings to get it lol. I comment a lot without “finishing” cause I want to get my thoughts out but now I’m even happier I came back to this story!

I am rereading this gem because... WHY NOT?! The Samcedes boyband AU is my favorite! I love all the stories but that one just kept me smiling with all the drama and of course fans having to throw in their two cents lol. I really hope one day you come back to finish this masterpiece cause I’m curious as to who Catcher is and what will be the definitive moment when he realizes to just “give it up Deelish” lol. He’s tried almost everything other than killing one of them off (hes gonna TRY for Sam). I hope you are well even if you choose to not finish this story!

Okay... I got into Samcedes like 5 weeks ago after remembering I used to watch glee up until season 2 (Rachel turned me off from that show). I can’t even remember what made me check out random clips of the show and I learned Samcedes was a thing! I watched so many YT clips and they were both my fav characters 1. Sam is effing hot and 2. Mercedes is black so I’m going to automatically support her lol. This in turn made me come back to FF. Net whe is my go to but I’ve been reading and never reviewing. I figured most Glee fans got out after seeing how Samcedes turned out (I’m annoyed but once again I’m like 4-5 years too late to care lol) and just wanted to see what the fandom had to offer. I’ve read so many stories on this site from so many talented writers but yours is the first I wanted to comment on with the fandom. So there’s my back story but into your story. This story is like multiple one shots but not wrapped up in an amazing experience of excellent writing and your words are so vivid! The Bieber experience is my fav as a kpop fan & The Flash and I’ve legit read so many of the comments that I couldn’t stop laughing at the “fan” portion. It was so realistic and it added so much weight to an already amazing story. I don’t think this story is finished nor will it ever be but YOU, are amazing like forreal forreal. I haven’t laughed as much as I did and then you made me cry and remember to download “If I were a boy” to Spotify. That portion of your story had me legit tearing up. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this emotionally invested in a story and I’m glad I chose to read this unfinished or not.

I absolutely adored your story. The concept was novel, and I love how you interwove things from the show (like Puck and Sam's first meeting and the not talking to each other for a week) and from real life (i.e. Amber describing her kissing scenes with Chord) into it. You are a very talented writer, and I fell in love with Sam and Mercedes, especially in the last edit. I was sad to see this story end, but I like how you did it. Great work!

Sooo.. I just read all 11 chapters in two days. Let me tell you! The was truly one of the best stories I have ever read. The concept of stories within a story is amazing. I envision Catcher to be like "The Author" in the Once Upon A Tumes series.. And your quality of writing?! I'm so amazed how engaging EVERY chapter was! I found myself fully transported to the beautiful complex world your writing created.. This was a delightful journey.. I hope this isn't the last of your gifts.

Imagine my shock when I saw this story was updated and got past me! But it was worth the wait. I loved your delivery of the past couple chapters. Lawd knows I wanted to throttle both Sam and Mercedes for being so doggone stubborn but they still ended up together. Catcher wasn't too happy but I could care less about him and his antics lol! Fate will always pull my babes back to each other no matter what he does. Thank you so much for the update!

Oh thank you so so so much for this update. This was a such joy to read.
I want to almost review each chapter of the update in turn because there was so much greatness in each one.
I loved the friendship you built with Sam and Mercedes in part 1, and how they were clearly in love it was obvious to all but them. I loved the little things, like how Sam was happy to try something new when Mercedes suggested it. The little bet of them not talking for a week was so sweet to read and their reunion at the end.
Part 2 was interesting showing how the outside forces are getting in the way. I like the way you captured the rift building between them but what really compounds it, is their denial of their feelings.
The Brit awards bit you wrote was was so powerful, I was right there with them.
The commentary of the fans after was very amusing. Generally I liked way you included the social media comments/reporting, they made me laugh at how well you captured that - a reflect that felt rather close to home these past few years ;).

It was painful to see them not talk to each other all those years, but the whole period only showed us how much they loved each other and what it did to them to be apart.
I each magnetic edit, that was a crucial aspect i felt, how they always feel like something is missing until they reconnect again. What was interesting about this edit, is how they never lost each other or were separated in the same way and so this time they knew in their hearts what they were missing, having tasted it and known it, and hurts. Also whilst it was external influences that contributed to pushing them away, it was in a way themselves that were adding to it. It was like the very connection they had was what was keeping them apart because it hurt so much for them to see each other feeling the way they did but not understanding it or the other to do enough about it.

It took one of them to fall apart (that hurt to see Mercedes like that) to bring them back together- really painful but beautiful moment with them in the bathroom and Sam seeing the pills.
Their rekindling of friendship and romance was a natural next step and that was lovely to see- the cute moment when Sam is in the car waiting for her after she reveals how she feels- I liked that it was her this time taking the leap. Their keeping it secret (hah! will they never learn).
I was crying right their with them at their wedding- that was so beautifully captured.

Was sad for it to end because I enjoyed it so much.

I'm guessing that since the books burned to ash that means this is the end? If not I'm curious to see what it means for Sam and Mercedes- does that mean their story was never written or that their story is now set forever and Catcher can no longer mess things up?
Whatever happens...this entire story is so wonderful and this last edit was amazing.

cannot believe you updated! I'm late to this but I'm soo happy. I kinda forgot about this story but than I remembered how much I loved it when I read it. This update was soo good I can't wait to see what catcher tries next!
