I read this years ago, favourited it and moved on. But I came back just now and can't believe you don't have more reviews. I loved this story then and I still love it now so here, have another comment. You earned it.

This fic is a wonderful piece and I feel that it really rings true to the mind of Sephiroth as he descended into madness. I always adore an author's interpretation of his 'fall from grace' as his realising he feels like he's wasted his life away working for Shinra and so throws it all away to pursue a dream he can believe in. Expressive, wordy and just beautiful - my only complaint is that you are amongst the many who insist on calling Sephiroth 'General' rather than 'SOLDIER First Class Sephiroth' or just 'First Class Sephiroth.'

But again, great work with this! I just wanted to let you know that someone still appreciates this even 3 years after you posted it. It's really that good!

I find the psychology of Sephiroth intriguing, and... correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that's what you just finished your thesis in? (...Psychology, not the psychology of Sephiroth, though that would be awesome) I find it amazing how you drew your studies and your writing together (though I recognise this piece is from two years ago) and crafted this piece. It's beautiful, and it's a departure from the kind of thing we usuallys ee from you - congratulations on also demonstrating your versatility! I think it's a great piece, thank you for sharing it!

Haha, bet you weren't expecting a review from me! XD But I read this and you know what? It's really, really good. Well thought-out. Makes perfect sense as to why he is the way he is. I still don't like Sephiroth very much but now I think I can understand him a little more. Well done for that!

This is well written and an interesting and realistic point of view for Sephiroth. Differs from my own explanation of his actions, but I enjoyed reading yours. I wish it was a bit longer, that's about all I can say I'd change. Good job!
