This is one of my favorite one shots. Rachel is trying to be grown up, but is still such a little girl. My heart breaks for her when Grampy doesn't believe she didn't smoke and spanks her. And the poor thing is sent to her room to await ANOTHER spanking. I'm glad Shelby took the time to hear Rachel out first, but even my stomach flipped when she came back in with the hairbrush. Poor Rachel! I hope Shauna was taken home and spanked. She deserves it!

It was sad that Rach got the punishment. I was a bit suprised that she forgave grampy that easily tho but Rachel is so forgiving that it's actually believable. :D

You did a great job creating this Shauna character. Not going to say that I hated her because I think you did a wonderful job bringing this character alive. IT's easy to relate to this story . I being the youngest in the family and always wanted to be with older cousins so I know how Rach felt. All your stories are belieavable and that's why I always love to read what you have done!

Loved the idea where Shelby tricks them :D ANd what I loved THE most is that how you reminded us that the most importan thing is the trust. I'm so happy that Shelby believed her...for Rachel sake too. I don't know where it would have gone if she thinks her mother can't trust her. :/ That's why I love how you do this mother daughter relationship. Thank you for this story. Awww. I know how heartbreaking it is to be falsely accussed by an older cousin Lol. That was my childhood! Rachel is just adorable no matter what. :)

Great story, I love it! Twelve year old Rachel is so adorable and I really enjoy seeing her and Shelby interact. It's interesting to see how this has continued from the other story (which I love too) and how the accident impacted them, more obviously Shelby.

I don't really like Shauna but I guess she did have her reasons for acting horribly towards Rachel even if it was immature and totally uncalled for seeing as to how she always gets to experience her grandparents' love and affection while Rachel only gets it when she visits. I'm glad that Rachel didn't know Shauna snickered at her when she needed Shelby's help or that she really didn't like her since it would break Rachel's heart seeing as to how Rachel idolizes her cousin.

I love that Shelby knew Rachel well enough to know that she wasn't lying and took the time to hear her out instead of jumping to conclusions. Also, her plan to get Shauna to confess was clever but I'm sure Rachel's heart broke for a moment when she thought her mom didn't believe her either. Anyway, I'm glad everything worked out in the end and that things were truly getting better for mother and daughter and their family.

Good job, awesome story as always! I miss Changed For The Better but I completely understand why you couldn't update. I hope this week treats you better than the last!

This was a good one. It made me sad for Rachel because she gets teased so much, but it was also nice to read about Shelby's family.

and sorta been there in that scenerio but it was reversed...me and my best friend at the time was havin a sleep over/camp out in their backyard and the youngest was being so whiny we had to let her join us..and we were talkin quiet but she was loud or would scream out 'be quiet..mom they are teasing me..blah blah blah.' well after the her mom warnin us a couple of times if we didnt stop she was comin out and we would all be sorry'..needless to say she DID come out and all three of us ended up with our butts warmed..the thing was as soon as she was in house i started laughin..and my friend is like what..and im like com mon that didnt hurt too bad..suck it up..and she's like..i got it worst cuz im her's and im like HELLO..first IM THE OLDEST so i got the worst..second..she STARTED with me..so most of the anger was used up on me..and THIRD AND FINALLy..ure little sister has already stopped cryin so..suck it up already..sooo i started tickling her..and then we were all giggling in less then 5 minutes later! (and when i told my folks what happened the next day i dodge a bullet cuz i expected a repeat performance...but nope! ) lol

I absolutely adore little Rachel. She's so cute! Gotta say this Shauna character's a bitch though. If I could, I would punch the living daylights out of her. I love all your Shelby/Rachel stories and can't wait for that new Changed for the Better chap!
