Chapter 3:

This is such a good story for diversity... and I guess there is a positive for them fighting... they look like an old married couple :)... But it still hurts to see them like this.

It was cruel for Merlin to tease and lead Arthur on. Of course he knew that a 'sorry' and a kiss wouldn't solve everything but... did Merlin really give him a chance to do anything else? Again... I can see how they are both at fault... I know Arthur had said those hurtful words but... he so obviously didn't mean them. Arthur would run into the firey pits of hell for Merlin, he'd walk to the ends of the Earth and back again for Merlin... Arthur was just upset to see his daughter slipping away, so to have the person he needs comfort from at this time 'tie him up' and then leave him... Arthur saw it as a personal stab to his heart, of how Merlin was leaving him, leaving him with his thoughts and emotions. The way he struggled... it seemed as if the more he tried and didn't succeed the more his wrists burned the mark on themselves... the more they burned the mark on his heart. Then when he tried to see his teeth and didn't get anywhere... am I right in saying that the tears in his eyes were due to the shaking, cold, panicked feeling that he and Merlin had become somewhat detached? The more time he spent here, the more his heart seemed to rot... and so when Gwaine came in... his distant angry mood wasn't due to rage at Merlin tying him up... more the lashing out pain of Merlin leaving. There was wounded blood in his almost falling tears as he slaughtered the training ground in his vulnerable flame. Which reminds me, Arthur is a vulnerable, insecure character... so to have the one person they truly care about hurt because of them and 'turn their back'... I believe Arthur felt so alone... and so lost. But more now regrettful for ever putting Merlin in that position.

And I believe Merlin was as lost as Arthur - even after all these years - they're still learning new things. Their discussion was so extremely heartfelt. Merlin was thinking that he was justified in what he did, for to have Arthur, his golden King, say those things, even in the wrong mind... his heart split open in that moment. But that didn't matter the moment he saw Arthur's wrists and I believe the burn cast itself on his heart... And I believe that Merlin hated himself more than ever or causing Arthur such distress and sorrow, such physical pain and scars also when he should have just stormed off and listened later... his heart now stopping as Arthur walked away. A very heartwrenchingly moving scene.

Nathaniel _ I am truly touched by how much he needs Merlin and Arthur to be together. Now I understand why he, after seeing Merlin or Arthur dance with someone else... he must have cast a quick, simple arousal spell - the other needing to suddenly kiss the other senseless. Not only is that whole general concept of just wanting to see them happy together unbearablly cute and so sweet... The fact that Elvan's parents had split before... the reasoning behind it all gave it such a huge weight upon the reader's heart... Nathaniel couldn't bear to see either Merlin or Arthur trying to dance with someone else because in his mind he thought they would slip away with that person... everytime his heart seemed to burst and now... and now to have them fighting like this - having seen Arthur leave as well and Merlin look so close to dying in sorrow... the way he leapt into Arthur's arms had such a meaning to it - how Nathaniel was so frightened that they may split up, and if that happened, his heart would tear in two. Therefore, the fact such a young child was willing to do this for his parents was very touching indeed. The way he was so mature about it, with that hopeful look in his eyes that this might work... it was such a perfect moment. And so when Merlin found him in the morning, the way he ran to Gwaine and Percival's room was such a heartstopper... and it seemed... that when Arthur came in... things were different... how for once they seemed to share the same distressed look on their faces and found some common ground. Their was this mutual beat of heart between them and it was such a heartwarming moment when Arthur held Merlin close to him... But this progress seemed to have fallen somewhat as they only spoke to each other when they had to - therefore - Raven's outburst at their dinner was one of those golden moments: she opened both their eyes to how Arthur had apologised to Lucan and was friends with him now and that they should now move on... So here was Arthur, trying to sleep in the chair as so Merlin got more comfort... and there was a dramatic moment where Merlin moved Nathaniel so they could both sleep by his side... as if it was Merlin's way of silently saying sorry to Arthur.

YAY! THE MAKE UP CHAPTER IS OFFICIAL!

I thought that this held such tenderness and affection. The beginning was setting the atmosphere so well - how every so often they would brush hands and... and feel butterflies in their stomach and have the undeniable urge to just leap into the other's arms and melt in their heat... So you can imagine the 'aww's I did when they looked into each other's eyes so romanticly. And I did giggle a bit *A LOT* when Raven did another mini outburst. I thought it was so sweet how their children are so concerned about them _ And I thought that it was such a Morgana like thing to do - how Raven suggested locking themselves in their chambers until they had made up, how they shouldn't be acting like this, all shy and bashful, when they are CERTAINLY not in private and public. And then it so suddenly got so intimate - the way that after kissing their children goodnight - they did go to their chambers... yearning in the silence. Every time they gazed into each other's eyes... it was as if they were looking at each other's hearts beating. The way Arthur went to the basin and slowly took his top off to wash his face... he seemed so vulnerable and defeated, as if with every passing moment without Merlin was another shred of his heart. Then... as Merlin couldn't handle not touching Arthur... how the ache in his chest got so much that it consumed him with guilt... the way he went to Arthur and slid his arms around him, placing a kiss to his shoulder, ghosting sorry... it was such a heartwrenchingly tender scene - Merlin begging Arthur to forgive him. And as Arthur turned and held Merlin so tightly and told him of how he should be the sorry one... it was as if he was trying to shield Merlin from all future pain, as if holding him would soothe his soul. And it did, for the way Merlin sighed and leaned into him, saying how he missed Arthur... it was so romantic. Then as they moved to the bed and Merlin looked at the damage he had done to Arthur... I believe his heart was slit with regret, hurting so much that he was the one to cause this on Arthur, reflecting what Arthur said before of how he wants to kill everyone and everything that makes Merlin cry. The way he kissed his wrists was such a heartclenchingly touching moment, Arthur right there to caress his emotions to love. And at the mention of love-making, it was such an uplifting moment when Arthur turned them over and replied with always. Promised his forever. This scene they just so completely melted in the other, melted in love. The way they kissed with such passion and Merlin was moved to moans of pure liquid lust and love was such amazing, even more so as they had to ground themselves with caresses, becoming too lightheaded and needing to retrace past touches. The way their manhoods slid against each other was just incredible, the blissful friction of skin on skin after such a long time for them, causing pleasure to cascade into their very blood was mesmerising. Then once Merlin felt Arthur's fingers breaking him in again... the amount of euphoria that ran through his veins was bloody fantastic. But nothing could compare to the moment Arthur slid his huge cock into Merlin tight heat... I swear, the magnitude of ecstasy that pulsed from their groins and hearts in that moment... I'm surprised they didn't pass out. And as they moaned and cried into the night - it was amazing how Arthur met Merlin's sighs with such passionate force... then as Arthur hit that spot senseless or to oversensitivity... the cries of rapture that stole the night... even I could hear them. And what made this display all the more romantic was how Merlin needed to feel Arthur in him still, and how they vowed their love once more.

The morning was brilliant, how Merlin couldn't contain his smile about being with Arthur in this way again. And as they snuggled... it was so warm and fluffy, even more so as Arthur grabbed Merlin's arse, Merlin to feel the flush all over again. AND IT WAS SO CUTE HOW THEY COULDN'T STOP TOUCHING! I melted about *counts* AT LEAST TWENTY TIMES! THE WAY THEY COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF EACH OTHER AND THEY COULDN'T STOP SMILING WAS SO ROMANTIC AND FLUFF! *breathes* It was just so amazing, even more so, as Arthur kissed Merlin's neck with such intimatcy. And then Nathaniel was awake. And the plan had worked *air punch*... The way they kissed to prove this to Nat was just beaming with sunshine. But to have their parents willing to put Nat at risk made Arthur see red...

And here, the reader was once again shown how beautiful their relationship is. After shouting and yelling at their parents, the way Merlin went to him and held him until he calmed down, how he eased the tension from him and kneaded the rage with his words was breathtaking. Even more so as they both sighed in guilt about making Nathaniel feel like he needed to do such a thing. And as Arthur and Merlin lost themselves in another kiss - it was so funny how Arthur was instantly horny.

_ One of the Best Ending Chapters for Fluff EVER! I truly adored this ending, how Merlin and Arthur were having a picnic, then the proposal was so romantic.
