I feel like I need to point out that this story is problematic. You're making someone's inability to see some mystical character trait. And more over, you act like the only way a blind person can be a good character is if you also give them super special powers and talents. Can you see how something like this can give a bad portrayal of ACTUAL blind people? Or how if a blind person were to hear of this, they would feel inferior and like they have to prove something? I just urge you when you write in the future to think about the social implications of you're writing. Everything is the bigger picture.
