This is great. The metaphor, I saw before it became completely apparent, but that's just me. It doesn't make it any worse of a read, even if I can tell what's coming. The fact that it remains interesting just reaffirms its goodness. I actually have a request for you. At the end of this, Beckett says I love you too. I don't know if you've already written one, but if you haven't, I'd love to read your take on the confrontation about that.

I seriously could not stop smiling while I was reading this! Kate Beckett uncoordinated on skates? The girl can run in heels and she can't manage a pair of ice skates? LOL She truly is adorable - and Castle looking after her and coaxing her along was so cute :) Loved all the little touches, like him hooking his fingers through her belt loops .. Oh and her wearing Converses made me a lil giddy cos they're my go to shoe - jean, white shirt and Chuck Taylors - dressed down KB is so awesome :D
