To those of you say Yamato took Honoka for granted well I think to an extent at least Honoka took Yamato for granted to. I mean putting distance between them? Showing their friendship meant so little to her? Blindly pursuing a relationship which anything could have gone wrong, especially according to this fic?

This is pretty good, I really like your fanfic and as they say fanfiction can be a form of literary criticism, because I agree with a lot of reviewers this is better then the manga.

Ayano I don't think really behaved like an adult and a proper landlady of a dorm should because for instance that incident with Yasunobu, 5 years prior to the manga story any reasonable adult would get the facts right before trying to punish anybody but Ayano just blindly believed Yasunobu over Yamato, her own nephew!

Also what annoyed me most about Ayano was how she often compared Yamato to Suzuka and just kept ignoring Suzuka's wrongs and even at times breaking of her rules like that sauna incident and yet Yamato got punished!? For pity's sake! What else was Yamato supposed to do!? He didn't KNOW how long Suzuka had been in there and she might have died or underwent serious harm if he didn't kick the door down! But then again I'm willing to bet that he would have gotten in trouble anyway if he went to Ayano for the keys!

Also Ayano never did anything about how Saki breaks Yamato's confidences, humiliates him and all her crud! I mean a reasonable adult would have given Saki a very stern talking to! I know I would!

Onto Suzuka I hated how mean she was to Yamato well in his shoes even with all his persistence I would have been disillusioned with Suzuka. Also I hated how Seo tried to make Yamato look the unreasonable one when in fact its Suzuka who was being unreasonable! I don't know what kind of drugs or alcohol Seo was on but a good number of the times Yamato was upset with Suzuka they were justified like when she went off to America, I mean they were boyfriend and girlfriend for goodness sake!

Yamato wasn't a saint but he was a good guy who was misguided at times who suffered from his own awkwardness, the fact he was clueless around women and how often he didn't think things through like he should. But then how many teenagers think things through like they should?

I did like Honoka but I didn't like later chapters where Honoka became a model it just didn't feel right and after reading Deciding Alone I think I know why. I don't think you were too hard on Honoka but at the same time I hope she doesn't get burned too badly and gets to rebuild her life plus Yamato forgiving her. I can imagine them later talking about when they dated about how hung up on Suzuka that Yamato still had been but either way the blinders (at least in this fic) have been lifted for Yamato.

Also you might want to explain a bit about Japanese modelling, entertainment and all like how dating a co worker can be scandalous and all. Just for the benefit of those not as familiar with Japan as you seem to be.

I wonder what will happen to everyone? I hope there is a good ending to this.

This is a totally awesome fanfic of Suzuka! This was how things should have gone, I never understood why Yamato was so unhealthily obsessed with Suzuka, because of how she treated him, I mean persistance can only go so far and there were better girls like Miki, Honoka and Yui.

I didn't like what happened during chapters 123 and 124 as I felt Honoka could have been more honest as well not shooting off rapid fire questions on Yamato nor play it off or whatever. Also from what I hear from a friend about Japan, I think Honoka should really have thought more on how it might impact Nana.

I liked Miki and I'm surprised you didn't have Yamato end up with her but Yui is a good girl who like Miki and Honoka were supportive to Yamato until Honoka took up modelling (thus running from her problems like a few reviewers pointed out).

Also I'm quite happy with how you portrayed without any bashing at all!

That last line, that's coming from a clown who struck his own blood just because he wouldn't bow down and obey his every word.

Kay you are using "And" and "Then" an absurd amount of time's, you need to work on that or get a Beta for the grammar.

I partially disagree with how you treated Honoka, however in a way, yes Yamato took her for granted and kept moaning about Suzuka, with could be kind of justified for her to want distance from him, on the other hand when you tell someone you want distance and them want to seek them out when you are in trouble is really selfish. Not that I'm sure Honoka should've said she wanted some distance and I think she has a bad habit of running from her problems.

There were better ways of handling it. Even though Yamato spent a lot of his time moaning about Suzuka.

In chapter 123 I do agree that Yamato was nervous and confused I mean try being bombarded with questions? try having the whole thing played out like some joke? Would Yamato not be confused?

I mean sure Yamato was by no stretch of the imagination a saint, he did make a lot of typical teenager mistakes (as did Honoka) also he did try to please everyone and got shafted for it.

I really hope that Yamato comes to forgive Honoka.

One of Yamato's biggest mistakes was letting himself get too hung up on Suzuka and the cannon storyline would have been better if Yamato just moved on with his life and as other reviewers said that Suzuka needn't have been the title character as the girl that Yamato ends up with.

Also the relationship between Yamato and Suzuka was just plain toxic for the both of them as they were a little too obsessed.

I like seeing fanfics where Yamato actually moves on from Suzuka and he actually becomes better for it!

Well...I love that this story continues, but I feel you are way to hard on Honoka. The whole time he dated Yamato all he did was fuss and dwell on Suzuka. I feel Honoka would need the patience of a saint to put up with him. You are right on about Yamato's family. What a bunch of slugs! AND I always loved Yui! What a great girl, Yamato had her and just let her slip away...ugh! Oh well, great story!

I remember liking this story. I remembering thinking Suzuka started good and ending the same way all the other stories by that Mangaka ended. But I don’t remember the actual plot at all lol. Think I need to spend some time on the wiki and then reread.

I was disappointed in the Suzuka manga because it was such a mess of cliche and I felt the spin off manga Kimi no Iru Machi (Town Where You Live) and Fuuka were worse, while I admit I haven't read them I have read enough on wikipedia to repulse me from ever trying them because they sound even more stupid then the Suzuka manga!

Anyway this is pretty good I liked how Yamato had just about enough of the put downs and decided to leave. I never understood why the manga tended to side with others who are the real unreasonable ones over Yamato, because really he deserved none of that for all his faults!

Well at least everyone at Asahiyu realises what Yamato was complaining about and the most understanding it seemed were Yuka and Megumi.

Also of all the girls I liked Miki the best, her friendly personality, good nature and willingness to look out for her friends.

Honoka I lost all respect because her character went downhill after the beach conversation where she just blows Yamato off like he was practically nothing. I am glad she faced consequences in this fanfiction where in the manga cannon she did not face any consequences at all!

Also I hope Yamato and Yui won't take their relationship to the next level too soon which was the mistake he made in cannon.

In any case I'm looking forward to the final chapter! Lets who redeems themselves, shall we?

Also has Honoka truly lost everything? She has her family, right? Unless her actions have somehow strained her relationship with them in some way.

I liked Honoka at first but I didn't like how she blew off Yamato later on, without showing much concern for his feelings (she should have picked up when Yamato said she was a very important person to him) and I didn't like the model or the 'new boyfriend storylines'.

Suzuka I found annoying because she was often putting Yamato down and responds to his attempts to make her happy with scorn.

I'd like to see an epilogue that explains what happens to everybody including Nana.

No matter what it doesn't seem like Honoka and Nana can be friends anymore, which was really Honoka's fault as she should have thought of how the whole thing would reflect on Nana and how it affect her career, if not end it.

Anyway its good to see Yamato's parents see what lousy parents they've been to him as well Rie and Hirakazu for being poor siblings to Yamato. I mean what do teenagers like Yamato need at their age? I'll tell you what, guidance! Guidance and NOT Judgement!

triviatrap1982 made some pretty interesting including about redemption and I really hope the hand of redemption is offered to everybody and the big question should be of who takes it?

Everybody just loves to put down Yamato. I really hate this one-sidedness in stories.

It’s good to know that this fic isn’t dead yet. Instead of months go by try years that way Yamato has grown and his life turned out better. Also have Ayano realized that she actually put down her nephew ever since coming to her place, I think she was telling him that Suzuka is giving her all while he couldn’t come close to her expectations. And there’s also the fact that Ayano wanted Suzuka to be her niece considering how well she was doing. Good luck on the final chapter.

The people in question being his family, I bet.
