I'm sorry, but you use the word "would" WAY too much.

I was beginning to think I was the only one who remembered how the scene originally went! I saw Emma Watson on one of the "tonight show" type shows before DHp1 came out and it had the full scene, including the "You smell like vanilla/I think you're going to be my favorite" line. Then when I went to see the movie, that was all gone! I couldn't figure out what happened.

Obviously, since then, I've heard Nick Moran's explanation about things being cut out, but this is the first solid proof I'm not the only one who saw it. I wish they had included it with the deleted scenes! That and Ron being beat up. At any rate - I'm going off on a tangent here...

Thank you for this one shot that gives us an expanded view of what might have happened. And what really likely WOULD have happened had HP been aimed at adults. Because as much as we would like to think the wizarding world is too civilized for rape, we all know that's bullshit.

I have to read the book again I remember none of it. I always wondered why in the movie they didn't apparate out of the woods when being chased...were theboys to dumb to know how to do it...huh oh well great story anyway!

HOLY CRAP GOOD!

This is so well written and of all the Hermoine/Scabior fics I've read, this is the MOST realistic. I think this is what would really go down had Harry Potter be intended for an adult audience. A lot of fics eventually make Scabior feel guilty or make him loathe himself in regard to his interaction(s) with Hermoine but I think you did a really good job portraying his true character: he is a Snatcher and is only interested receiving money in return for handing Harry over to the Dark Lord. Hermoine was only of physical interest to Scabior as well as a vehicle to torture answers out of she, Harry and Ron.

I read a couple interviews with Nick Moran about the deleted scenes and I knew there was an implied beating of Ron and some additional dialogue between Scabior and Hermoine but I had NO idea there was an implied rape! Do you happen to know if the original script is online?

It certainly sounds like something Scabior would do. I could very easily imagine him doing this. And I have seen pictures from this deleted scene on the internet, as well as a picture on my 2011 HP calender.

I guess the message this gives is clear - don't mess with Scabior. He's a rough individual, and yet I still love him anyway. He can snatch me any time. :) 3

One of the few accurate characterizations of Scabior, love where you're going with this. Looking forward to chapter 2 !
