I loved the image the above line conjured. I've also never given much thought to Gale being so good at snares before. Never until you pointed it out in this chapter. And then I saw the significance of Suzanne Collins choosing that particular talent for Gale to have.

This is the second fic that I'm reading of yours, and I am loving it as much as I did the first. It's not just your plot lines that are different and oh so gripping. It's the entire way you write. It's your very language. It's the way you use language. It's also different, reading stories of yours - I feel like I'm learning more and more about the original books. You seem to leave no stone unturned, picking out things here and there and giving them meaning, making them symbolic. Quite honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you studied Literature at some advance level. :)

Oh my word, this is so. AMAZING! I wept and gasped an d sighed and bit my nails all the way through this lovely, painful, hopeful story, and it was good. I love your imagery, and those sentences that stand out and make you catch your breath - and I love your insights into both Peeta and Katniss. Seriously, one of the best stories I've ever read, thank you skmuch foot writing and sharing!

Love it! There's just one thing bugging me though, Katniss or Peeta's infertility. It's sad, that they can't have offspring. I figured if the mutt jabberjays can procreate, why not mutt Katniss or Peeta? But anyway, they can always adopt, if they want to. :)

Your dialogue is so good! Crisp, crunchy exchanges. Like the Peeta/Gale/Katniss "Kill me" scene. Tight, tight prose, and clean little twists on the canon.
